LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME

Hey folks! Meet Aurora, a beautiful Catalina Macaw who has now completed her assessment period and is ready to start looking for her forever home.

Aurora is a chatty little girl who loves to whistle, sing, and show off her vocabulary! She also enjoys her toys and, of course, a good piece of cardboard to shred.

Once she gets to know you, Aurora will happily take food and nuts from your hand. She is also comfortable around other birds.

Her foster family feels that Aurora would do best with someone who has experience with parrots, or with someone who is willing to be patient and give her the time and understanding she needs to continue her rehabilitation.

With the right person, Aurora could make a wonderful companion and a lovely addition to the family.

Meet Frankie

A Beautiful blue fronted Amazon parrot that has joined our rescue family this week due to a families change in circumstances

Frankie is 5 & half

He will now go off to a foster home to start his assessment for us to establish what kind of home would suit him moving forward

This little guy is called Merlin, he’s a pineapple conure 2.5 years one home with a male but also liked his keepers mum so will go to male or females.
I can already tell you tho Merlin gets jealous of his owners girlfriend which is why he’s in need of a home so he will be looking for a single person or a lady homemaker where he can be out while daddy is at work or similar.
He has a big cage for a little guy but he wants to take it wherever he goes 😊

LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME

Kermit a high red factor yellow sided conure

Kermit (or "Kermy" as we call him) has been with us at the Killian foster home for just one week, and he's already stolen our hearts! This tiny little guy is full of personality, energy, and hilarious antics. At only about 10 months old, he's the perfect age for continued training and bonding.

Kermit came into our care because his previous owner became too ill to keep up with such an active little bird.

In just one week, he's learned to step up beautifully something he didn't know how to do when he first arrived. He prefers coming to you rather than having your hand reach deep into his cage past his first food bowl. He also returns to his cage willingly and will happily step off your hand in exchange for a favorite treat.

We've transitioned him to a healthy, lean diet, and he eagerly eats fresh vegetables and fruit. He's not quite interested in chop yet, but we're continuing to work on that.

We've managed a few head scratches outside the cage and plenty while he's in his own space. He absolutely loves attention and enjoys playing with just about anything. Toys, puzzles, and simple games keep him happily entertained.

Kermit is fearless and very curious, so he'll need to be supervised around other birds at first. Chiti has given him the "death stare" a couple of times, and Kermit seems to be getting the message, but we've still had to stop him from flying over to Chiti's and Cyrus's cages.

He's done well with our grandkids, but keep in mind that he's a young conure, so some playful nipping is to be expected.

Kermit has been an absolute joy to care for, and honestly, we've been tempted to keep him ourselves. He's sure to bring so much fun, laughter, and happiness to the lucky family that welcomes him into their home.

Meet George a 25 year old African grey, believed male & a beautiful lad

George has come in to the rescue due to his family change of circumstances and them wanting better for him

George has now gone off to foster to start his assessment period where we will be able to establish what kind of home will suit him best moving forward.
George will see our avian vet for his health check very soon

No rehoming applications are being accepted at this time

Meet Coco, a 3 year old conure who was an urgent surrender to a local wildlife rescue a few weeks ago while I was on holiday.
He seems a very tame gentle little bird from what I've experienced and the fostered he’s been with said that’s his personality.
He will still be assessed here and go to our vet for a check up .
