Flea and Tick Season!!

We are seeing more more dogs coming to us with fleas & ticks in the last few weeks.

This tick was removed from Sadie the Golden Retriever on Sunday by her owners but unfortunately some of the tick was left under Sadie's skin.
Sadie came to us yesterday to remove what was left and was already quiet red looking in a short amount of time.

Prevention is key!

We have flea and tick prevention treatments available at our clinic.
If you do find a tick on your dog please only remove at home if you know how to correctly do so, as it can become quiet infected if removed incorrectly and part of the tick is left in your dog.

This 8 month old JRT, Ben, went missing last Monday, 21st, on the R445 road between Naas and Newbridge (near Willowbrook Nursing Home). He is microchipped and was wearing a collar bearing his name and contact number. If anyone finds him, please call the number on his collar.
