When popped by to one of our favourite spots, the Pet Store it absolutely filled our cups to receive such a warm welcome 🧡🐾 Being the first psychiatric assistance dog teams in Ireland we love sharing what we do and how our dogs support people living with mental health challenges in mitigating their daily lives. There were so many opportunities for our older training dogs to practice the art of doing nothing amongst lots of distractions and different people, whilst our Beannachtaí got all the cuddles inturn enhancing their socialisation schedule 🙏 seeing how calm and settled they are in brand new environments makes us so excited for their important journeys ahead

Special thanks to Kylie (and Wilbur) for arranging this invaluable ticketed event, and to all of the students who took part in our data collection 🙏 Our teams loved sharing insight into canine neuro-development, enrichment, nutrition, body language, the important tasks & skills psychiatric assistance dogs present to support their handlers in mitigating daily life and the role our dogs play in recovery care plans, and most of all we loved seeing smiles brighten the student centre, and of course Mr Higgins living his best life 🧡🐾
