Beautiful Billie is an Australian Cobberdog, which is a new breed becoming popular in the vicinity. She has the most amazing personality and nature and I can see why they are so popular! But her coat takes a LOT of work. This job took this very slow groomer nearly 4hrs. Not a cheap hairstyle!

However..........

There is a shortage of groomers in Dungarvan, with three businesses having closed in the past 6 months. The few remaining businesses have already had full client lists for some time, leaving no space for extras. So please....

BEFORE YOU GET YOUR PUPPY, BOOK YOUR GROOMER!!

Think of it as Puppy Eton, you need to know there is space for your dog on their books before you get a dog. 😉

THINGS YOUR PUPPY BREEDER WILL NEVER TELL YOU:

1. The breed you have chosen will likely need professional grooming every 6 - 8weeks.

2. You will need to brush 3-4 times a week BETWEEN grooms.

3. The puppy coat changes as they grow, they don't stay fluffy for ever. It will have to be taken short at some point.

We are trying the best we can to accommodate the overflow, but its extremely stressful having to say no to newbies. Please share this post to anyone thinking of getting a curly/woolly coated dog and please do some research into the grooming requirements of the breed you might choose. Every single bit of information that you might need before getting a dog is freely available on Google and I am happy to answer any questions that Google can't 😊

🐈‍⬛ CAT GROOMING TRAINING 🐈‍⬛
Had two very relaxing days' training with Jo Wallace of , "brushing" up on my handling skills and learning so much more. Working with kitties is a totally different vibe 💙 It was like a little holiday! Many thanks to my supermodel volunteers - Darwin the Maine C**n, Trooper and Hunter the Superfluffs, Freyja, Flower and Saint the Ragdolls and Levi the Magnificent 🐱
