Sweet boy Rory needed lots of breaks during his groom because of his arthritis 💛🐾

Dogs with arthritis can get sore, stiff, and tired from standing for long periods, especially during grooming appointments. Instead of pushing through, we slow things down, let them rest when needed, and work in whatever position keeps them most comfortable.

Taking breaks helps reduce stress on their joints, keeps the experience calm and positive, and allows us to groom safely without overwhelming them. Each dog deserves patience, comfort, and lots of love every step of the way 💕

🐾 Pet Nail Care Made Simple 🐾

Regular nail trims are essential for your pet’s comfort and health. Long nails can cause pain, affect mobility, and even lead to infections if left too long.

How often?
✂️ Every 2–4 weeks for most dogs especially for our older pets!
🐕 Walking on concrete may help file nails, but not the dew claws - these are like thumbs which can be located on the back legs too!
🐱 Indoor cats especially need regular nail trims!
💛 Starting young helps pets feel calm and confident with grooming!

💅 Understanding Nail Structure 💅

A pet’s nail isn’t just the hard outer shell you see. Inside the nail is a soft, sensitive area called the quick.
The quick contains blood vessels and nerves — this is what makes cutting nails too short a bit painful and can cause bleeding.

If nails have been left long, the quick grows longer inside the nail too.
This means we can’t safely trim them very short in one appointment without causing pain or bleeding as to the importance of regular maintenance!

All our full grooms include nail care, and nail-only appointments are available to book on our booking page!
