DOGS AVAILABLE: Connie - lab x collie (7 mths)
This girlie was picked up as a stray in Co Carlow in Ireland and was in real danger given the deluge of dogs currently flooding the pounds. We were delighted when lovely Amy in Dublin offered to foster her.
Connie (pound name Kelly) has now been in foster for a month and she's come on a real treat... an active, playful sweet, cuddly girl who is now housetrained (asks to go out) and is lovely with everyone she meets. Connie is super with other dogs, too - fantastic off lead and great recall.
On the to-do list is that she is mildly reactive to strangers walking past the property if she's in the front garden (will bark/run the fence) - and she currently gets quite car sick, poor girlie. Ah, and she also chews a bit - but hey, she's still a baby.
Foster mum Amy absolutely loves her and if she wasn't going back to work full-time in the New Year, she would keep Connie.
Connie is looking for home that can offer more than local-park walks - and if you have some collie experience you will take her in your stride. ,
You will need to have another dog for company and play - or be able to commit to regular/quiality socialisation with other dogs (she loves 'em!).
Connie is bright, athletic and nimble and would excel at dog sports (but an active home that can offer training/interesting walks would be just fine, too).
Cats? Nope, she'll chase. Older children only please (10 + unless very dog-savvy).
Connie is fully vaccinated, chipped and treated for parasites. She currently weighs 15kg and will prob mature to about 17/19kg. NB: we would like her to have her first season before being neutered so her new home will need to be able to manage this safely.
Connie is in foster in Dublin 17 and can be rehomed in Ireland or UK. If a home for her does not come up in Ireland she will be arriving in the UK w/c 18th December.
A truly lovely dog offering fun, cuddles and a bit of mischief for a home looking for a charact
