Interesting data on progeny from mares with and without performance.

In an analysis of the dams of 100 top-performing showjumpers in Hippomundo’s leading performance ranking, 66% had no recorded jumping career. Only 6% had competed at 1.60m.

A mare’s own competition record is just one piece of the puzzle. Her pedigree, athletic qualities and, above all, what she passes on to her offspring also matter.

Discover what the numbers reveal about the different paths to breeding success in our latest article.
