Hi everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know of the passing of my very special dad🤍
Dad absolutely adored his dogs and would always visit me in the grooming room to introduce himself to whatever lovely pup was in❤️
He was a great man for chatting and would often stand in front of the grooming room window for ages talking and telling stories to clients while I struggled to settle the dog that’s staring at its owner out the window doing backflips trying to get off the table to get out to them!
Dad was the favourite for any dogs staying for holidays. We’d fight over who got to cuddle the dog when we sat down for the evening and he won pretty much every time.. probably had something to do with the bits of ham he would bribe them with🙈
This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to write but I wanted to let everyone know as so many of you have met dad over the years and got to enjoy his stories, his cheeky humour and some were even lucky enough to bring home his famous homemade bread and jam, which dad won Ireland bread baking champion for in 2022❤️
I’ve received so many lovely messages from you all and I just wanted to say thank you. We are going to miss dad so much, especially our dogs Benny, Jess and Lily. He used to tell us they broke the mould when they made him and he was 100% right. There will never be another one like him and we are so lucky to call him our dad🤍
I will reply to all messages next week. For now On Cloud Canine is closed so I can spend time with my family in this difficult time🤍 Again I want to thank everyone for all the kind messages. We appreciate it so much.
