Your dog walker should be insured, canine first-aid certified, strong enough to handle all dogs in the group and experienced enough to deal with all types of scenarios that may arise when walking dogs in public. ⛑️

May Marvels ✨ 🐾
It's been another busy month for me and all of your doggies 🥰 I am so proud of the whole gang and how far all of the dogs have come in their own little journeys with me. As I reflect on six months of Hounds of Love, I am feeling incredibly grateful for everyone's support. Between our walking days and my grooming days, you are all keeping me busy, and I wouldn't have it any other way 💜
There has been lots happening behind the scenes here and I will be making a very exciting announcement soon 👀 so stay tuned! 🎉

Today, in honour of Rescue Dog Day, I would love to share a little story about one of the dogs who inspired Hounds Of Love.
I often shed a tear for Tara still; she changed my life forever, even though we only had less than two years together. Adopting a rescue pet is truly as special as it seems.
Today, Ireland is known as the "puppy farm capital" of Europe. A terribly shameful title for a country so relatively small. Sadly, we as a population have perpetuated this breeding crisis, but we are the ones who can change it, one responsible decision at a time. If you are thinking of adding a dog to your family, please consider adoption first. There are so many wonderful dogs in shelters just waiting to become the dogs they were always meant to be. Although our volunteers in rescue centres do incredible work, these can be difficult places for some dogs to flourish in. If you are not in a position to adopt a rescue pet, consider fostering or volunteering. These are the building blocks that sustain rescue centres. Happy Rescue Dog Day 💜 🐾

One of the most valuable actions you can take in supporting a small business is leaving a review after a positive experience. I absolutely LOVE leaving reviews for businesses and sharing what it's like to sit in that cafe or get that treatment done, and I'm so glad I've always done it because now I see the true value in it ✨

Happy Adopt a Rescue Pet Day 💜
There is a very specific joy in adopting a rescue pet that is hard to put into words. I can't wait to share my own experience of adopting my beloved Tara from the ISPCA. For today, I really just want to encourage people to give some extra thought to the organisations that champion animal welfare in this country. Donations, adoptions, fostering and volunteering are the crucial building blocks that make their work possible. If you have the capacity, please consider aiding them in any way you can. And of course if you are searching for a pet to add to your family, please consider adoption first.

April Adventures 🐶💜
Can anyone tell me why one month feels like a week? This year is flying in at a pace that is frankly scaring me a bit 😂 I've also noticed that the puppies on my client list are growing so quickly 🥹 It feels like all of my dogs are really finding their stride in the walking schedule especially. They get so excited and know when they see me coming it means adventure, a little time that is just for them and their needs, and maybe a sneaky treat or two 🐷🐔
Small dog grooming appointments are fully booked for May, there are just a couple of appointments left here and there so do get in touch if your pooch needs a refresh coming into the summer months ✂️ 🌞
I am off on my very first holiday since starting out on this venture last December 🥳 I am away from today until 6th May. Please feel free to drop me messages or queries, they will all be answered when I get back on the 6th.

Today is National Pet Day 🐾💜 It might surprise some of you to learn that I am not a pet owner! I empathise hugely with people who desperately would love to own a pet but cannot due to their lifestyle, work commitments or financial constraints. I am lucky enough to get to spend almost every single day with people's precious pets, and I never take it for granted! 🥰
There are so many ways you can bring the love of a pet into your life - ask to borrow a friend or family member's pet for a day. Offer to walk an elderly neighbour's dog. Sign up to volunteer at one of the many amazing rescue centres around the country.
Since the very genesis of Hounds of Love, I have always kept my overarching goal in mind - to reduce the number of dogs being surrendered to shelters. In whatever way I can. I have big ambitions to do this in really creative ways in the future.

I am monitoring the fuel situation closely. As a mobile business I rely on my diesel tank to bring me from house to house, collecting all my pups and transporting them to their enrichment adventures. If the situation does not resolve soon, if filling stations locally run completely dry, I will no longer be able to do this.
I fully support the protests taking place across the country led by workers that make up the backbone of our economy. I have been really disappointed but unsurprised to see the members of our government using tactics and rhetoric to divide people who are all hurting in the same ways. All the while they have staunchly stonewalled representative groups and refused to even give an ear to the people they are supposed to serve.
For the foreseeable, all enrichment walks will take place in the immediate collection vicinity where possible. I will be doing all that I can to reduce travel during this ongoing crisis. Thank you for understanding.
