📣 Head girl /boy or Yard Manager

We are looking for a new member to join our existing team for our yard of up to 38 horses, ranging from foals to sport horses and liveries as well as a breeding programme.

❗️Must have a high attention to detail and work to high standards but also time efficient and work as part of a team ❗️

We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and would lead by example. Someone who is a problem solver and has a supportive character. Help in setting up for competitions and venue hires.

We have an amazing purpose built yard with beautiful horses who are each treated as individuals and are all cared for like members of the family so someone who puts the horses first!

Ideally able to hack out , gallop and school a range of horses but this is not essential.
Ideally have their own transport or accommodation could be provided.

All day to day yard duties as well as travelling to training and events is an option if wanted, or happy for the role to be a stay at home groom. Sole charge will be needed when I’m away Eventing. Yard maintenance also need fence repair / mowing etc.

🔹5 day week to include occasional weekends will be needed
🔹Wage dependant on experience
🔹We have space if you want to bring your own horse with the benefits of receiving regular training and support with your competition goals.

Vero is 13yr old gelding
Educated in ranch riding, working equitation and M Dressage

He’s able to : passage, starts of piaffe , traversals trott and gallop. Simple Flying changes

Very relaxed in the field and roads and easy to handle.

Horsemanship educated , good in halter
Knows trails, like opening gates, bridge, skalom , small jumps.

Success several times in dressage - reserve champion several times - I stopped that cause I wanted to focus on Western.

Successful I’m ranch riding level 2 , working equitation reverse champion level 2 .

Success several times in dressage - reserve champion several times so happy to give lessons in dressage or western.

We had great results last week winning the 3yo Event horse loose jumping on a brilliant score of 129.5 out of 73 horses. Harry’s been on the treadmill for the last 6 weeks before the qualifier and it’s helped him gain strength , stamina and straightness which all led to his amazing result. Please do get in touch if you want to start some treadmill sessions or rehab livery with us. The results are really start to show now.

🐴We’re looking to hire a second rider 🐴 Due to an increased number in ridden horses we’re looking for a second rider to help in general riding as well as going schooling / competitions if needed and able to. Young event horses and breakers. Some general yard duties if needed but riding more important. Previous experience essential and own insurance a must. A great opportunity for someone the hours can be flexible to suit other jobs etc.

Option of dry or water treadmill as well as spa function where water is 2-5c. Packages to suit individual horses benefits are below “Water provides resistance to help build muscle and increase flexibility, while also providing buoyancy to relieve pressure on joints and injuries, It can also be very calming for horses and a change of work routine. Depending on water level, the buoyancy of the water reduces concussion and impact on the lower limbs, and encourages an increased range of motion. The high resistance of the water leads to increased muscle activity, and the water pressure helps to reduce swelling, stimulate circulation of the lower limbs and the cold water helps to reduce any pain present.
