The gut and immune system are closely connected. When the digestive system is sensitive or the microbiome is out of balance, the body may react through the skin: inflammation, itching, recurring ear problems, or poor coat condition.

This is why probiotics and internal support can sometimes be an important part of a skin health plan — but they should not be used randomly or as a replacement for diagnosis.

In this video, we break down the real connection between skin, gut, immunity, allergies, probiotics, home care, and proper veterinary diagnosis.

Together with Changwon from MO&HAKU, Dr. Liza and Dr. Chris from MASVET, we discuss:
— when probiotics may support skin and gut health
— when home care can truly help
— when shampoos and supplements are not enough
— why recurring ear and skin problems need proper diagnosis
— how internal support may affect skin health
— and why guessing can cost your pet comfort, time, and the right treatment

If your pet keeps having skin or ear issues and you’ve already tried different foods, shampoos, supplements, or online advice without clear results this conversation may completely change the way you look at the problem.

Case: Gipsy, 8-year-old Pitbull 🐾

Gipsy came to MASVET with a lump on her hind leg. Before visiting our clinic, she had already undergone FNA diagnostics at another veterinary clinic, where the mass was suspected to be an MCT - mast cell tumor.

At MASVET, our doctors performed a surgical tumor mass removal. The removed tissue has been sent for biopsy / histopathology, which is essential to confirm the diagnosis, understand the nature of the tumor, and plan the next steps correctly.

A lump is never something to ignore.
Some masses may be benign, while others can be aggressive and require a more detailed treatment plan including further surgery, monitoring, or oncology support.

That’s why proper diagnostics matter:

▫️ physical examination
▫️ FNA / cytology
▫️ surgical removal when indicated
▫️ biopsy / histopathology
▫️ post-operative monitoring
▫️ clear treatment planning based on results

Gipsy is now recovering after surgery, while we are waiting for the biopsy results to decide the safest and most accurate next step for her care.

If you notice a new lump, swelling, or a mass that grows or changes, it’s always better to check it early. Early diagnostics can make a big difference for your pet’s health. 🩺

Your pet’s skin is telling a story but the real cause may be hidden deeper. 🐾

In Bali, many pet owners face the same cycle:
itching comes back, ears get red again, paws are constantly licked, the smell returns, and every new shampoo or supplement seems to help only for a while.
But skin and ear problems are rarely just about the surface.

They can be connected to the gut, immune system, allergies, yeast, bacteria, parasites, food reactions, daily care, and even the way your pet’s body responds to Bali’s climate.

That’s why in our new conversation with Changwon from MO&HAKU, Dr. Liza and Dr. Chris from MASVET, we go beyond quick fixes and talk about what really matters:
— how to understand what may be causing recurring skin problems
— why diagnosis should come before treatment
— when home care is helpful
— when it’s time to stop guessing
— how probiotics, nutrition, and internal support may affect skin health
— what pet owners in Bali should pay attention to first

If your pet has ongoing itching, red ears, dandruff, paw licking, skin odor, or irritation this episode is worth watching before trying another random solution.

Rabies is preventable but once symptoms appear, it is almost always fatal.

That’s why vaccination is not just a routine procedure. It is one of the most important ways to protect your pet, your family, and the wider community.

Regular rabies vaccination helps reduce the risk of transmission and keeps your pet’s protection up to date, especially in areas where animals may come into contact with other pets or wildlife.

If your pet’s rabies vaccine is due, our veterinary team can help check the vaccination status and update it safely. 🐾

Protect them before there is a risk.

Have you ever noticed that pets often reflect their owners? 🐾

Sometimes it’s behavior: stress, anxiety, sleep patterns, activity levels, or even eating habits. And sometimes health issues may appear similar too, not because pets “copy” diseases, but because they share the same environment, routine, lifestyle, allergens, food habits, and emotional atmosphere at home.

A dog that lives with a stressed owner may become more anxious. A pet with low activity may gain weight together with the family.

Skin, digestion, and immune issues can also be influenced by shared surroundings and daily care.

Have you ever noticed your pet behaving like you?

Sometimes symptoms need a deeper look. Endoscopy helps our veterinarians examine what cannot be seen from the outside, understand the cause of discomfort, and choose a more accurate treatment plan for your pet.

If your pet has ongoing digestive, breathing, or unexplained health symptoms, our team is here to help with careful diagnostics and gentle care. 🐾

Oral diseases in cats can stay hidden for a long time, while inflammation and discomfort continue to grow.

Bad breath, drooling, difficulty chewing, or grooming less than usual are all signs that your cat may need a dental check-up.

Don’t wait until your cat stops eating completely.
