What do our working dogs do when they're off duty?

They swim.

Behind every spectacular dog is an exceptional decoy.

The decoy's role is one of the most important elements in bite training. Courage and fearlessness alone are not enough. A decoy must prepare both physically and mentally. Through his body language, energy, and timing, he provides the dog with the right reinforcement at the right moment.
Sometimes he creates frustration, sometimes he becomes prey. Every movement has a purpose.
This is not a job for ego—it's a craft that demands knowledge, discipline, and humility.

Our head decoy and instructor, Balla "Bebi" Ferenc, has integrated movement patterns and principles learned from MMA into his training methodology. After working with thousands of dogs, he still believes that learning never ends.
His humility and professional attitude are what make him truly exceptional on a world-class level.
We are proud to have him as part of the Command Dog Center team.

Confidence is built where others see fear.

At just 5 months old, this young police K9 prospect enters a narrow, dark underground shaft at the Lešť tactical training base and follows his trainer out with complete confidence.
No hesitation. No fear. Only curiosity, courage, and absolute trust in his human partner.

The most remarkable moment comes when the trainer lifts the puppy out of the shaft by hand. For many young dogs, being suspended in a strange, confined environment could be stressful. For him, it is completely natural. He remains calm, helps his handler, and even uses his paws to climb out together.
And how many real-life situations will there be in a working dog's career where this exact ability may determine the success of the mission—or even save the dog's life?
These early experiences are not just exercises. They are the foundation of a future operational dog. A dog that will one day face unknown environments, difficult terrain, loud noises, and dangerous situations must first learn, as a puppy, that the world is a place to explore, not fear.

A great police K9 is not built only on prey drive or bite work. It is built on genetics, confidence, trust, and thousands of carefully created experiences.
This is where a true working character begins.
