🐾❤️ Yesterday we delivered food to the angels in Gastouri , and Sinarades

As many of you already know, caring for the angels is a year-round commitment. Every day, we provide food in more than 50 feeding colonies across 30 villages, and we also support local people who cannot afford to feed the cats in their care.

The food our angels receive is only possible because of your donations. There is no other source of support. Without you, many of these cats would go hungry.

Many people write to us every day and sometimes become frustrated when they do not receive an immediate reply.

Please understand that Corfu Angel Cats is not a company with employees, an office or a customer service department.

Behind the emails, Facebook messages, Instagram messages, adoption enquiries, flight arrangements, veterinary appointments, fundraising campaigns, website updates and daily administration are just a handful of exhausted people trying to do the work of an entire organisation.

Many days begin before sunrise and end long after midnight. We are often physically and emotionally exhausted. Some nights we sleep only a few hours because there is simply too much suffering and too many animals that need help.

While answering messages, we are also:

🐾 Feeding more than 1,000 cats every single day across Corfu.

🐾 Caring for more than 150 former street cats living safely in our sanctuary.

🐾 Rescuing abandoned, injured, sick, abused and starving cats and kittens.

🐾 Transporting animals to veterinary clinics across the island.

🐾 Paying veterinary bills through donations.

🐾 Running our Mission Possible neutering programme, where local residents pay only €25 and Corfu Angel Cats covers the remaining costs through donations.

🐾 Organising and funding large-scale stray cat neutering programmes across Corfu. We believe neutering is the only humane long-term solution to reduce suffering and stop the endless cycle of kittens being born on the streets. Every cat we neuter means fewer kittens born into hunger, disease and suffering.

🐾 Organising adoptions and flight escorts so cats can reach their forever homes around Europe.

Every email and every message is important to us, but saving lives must always come first.

If you have not received a reply yet, please do not think you are being ignored. Most likely we are rescuing a cat, sitting in a veterinary clinic, caring for injured animals, organising neutering appointments, delivering food, cleaning enclosures, administering medication, or simply trying to get a few hours of sleep before starting all over again.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding.

There are no salaries, no shifts and no clocking off at the end of the day. Only volunteers giving their time, energy and often their sleep to help cats that have nobody else.

When we rescued this angel on June 3rd, she was fighting for her life.

A massive tumor had already destroyed much of her face. Surgery was impossible. She was weak, exhausted, and her body simply could not survive anesthesia.

Many people see only the operation. They do not see the weeks of treatment, medication, veterinary care, and recovery that come before it. Every day was a battle.

But she fought.

Day after day, she became stronger.

And finally, the surgery could be performed.

The good news is that once she has fully recovered, she will be able to return to the colony she came from, where local people care for and feed the cats. Not every cat wants a life indoors, but every cat deserves a life without pain and suffering.

Without rescue, veterinary care, and your support, she would never have had this chance.

Please help us continue helping cats like her. Cases like this are expensive, but turning away a suffering animal is simply not an option for us.

❤️🐾 Mission Possible – 306 Cats Neutered! 🐾❤️

Yesterday, 6 more cats were neutered through our Mission Possible program, bringing the total to 306 cats.

This program helps local residents across Corfu neuter their cats at an affordable cost while reducing the number of unwanted kittens born on the island.

Together with local people and our veterinary partners, we are creating a better future for cats across Corfu. We are proud of what we have achieved so far, but there is still much more to do.

❤️🐾 Sometimes hope arrives in the smallest of packages.

Today I had the privilege of meeting two extraordinary young people from Norway.

Just one week ago, they found a tiny, helpless angel boy alone in a world that can be very hard for a kitten. They could have walked away. Instead, they stopped. They cared. They chose compassion.

They rushed him to a vet, made sure he received the care he needed, and surrounded him with love and protection during his most vulnerable days.

Today, that tiny angel took the next step in his journey.

Little Jonas has become a member of our sanctuary family. ❤️

When we look at Jonas, we don’t just see a kitten. We see what kindness can do. We see proof that one caring decision can change an entire life.

Meeting these two young people reminded us why we never give up. People like them give us faith that the world is changing, one act of compassion at a time. In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, they chose love.

And because they chose love, Jonas has a future.

Welcome home, sweet Jonas. May your days be filled with sunshine, safety, friendship, and the happiness every angel deserves.

And to our two friends from Norway: thank you. You may have rescued one tiny kitten, but today you also reminded all of us that humanity still shines brightly. ❤️🐾
