Ready for Adoption: Meet Emilia! 💖

Don’t let her lack of sight fool you..Emilia sees the world purely through her heart and filled with non-stop curiosity! ✨

This gorgeous girl (~1 year old) was rescued from the streets and is currently waiting for her forever home in Kessel-Lo (near Holsbeek, Belgium). She can also be adopted in nearby regions, including the Netherlands! 🇧🇪🇳🇱

About Emilia:
🌸 Personality: Super affectionate, loving, and highly energetic! She loves cuddling with humans and gets along wonderfully with other cats.
🌸 Health: Fully vaccinated, spayed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
👁️ Special note: She had a successful enucleation (eye removal surgery), meaning her eyes are completely healed and she requires no extra eye care or medication. She navigates her space like a pro and uses her litter box perfectly!

Ideal Home: Emilia would thrive in a loving environment, ideally with another social and friendly cat to play with and keep her company. 🐈😸

🇩🇪 Willkommen in Berlin, Myrto und Dina!
Welcome to Berlin, Myrto and Dina! 😸

Meet Emilia! 🐾✨
We rescued Emilia last August in an Athens park, but we later learned her full story from local feeders: she had been abandoned there at 3 months old in rough condition. Because they lacked shelter, they had provided medical care and spayed her before returning her. When we realized she was completely blind, we couldn't leave her outside. We took her in, and she recently underwent successful surgery to remove her non-seeing eyes. She is now fully healed and ready for a fresh start! 💚

Details: Female
| ~1 year old (born Dec)
| Spayed
| Vaccinated
| Microchipped
| Pet Passport 🛂
| Negative for FIV/FeLV

Personality:
An absolute social butterfly! Extremely friendly with everyone humans and cats. Despite moving through foster homes, she adapts instantly. She has zero sense of danger in the cutest way, walking right up to our hesitant resident cats to play. She loves toys that make sounds so she can easily find and play with them, good food, cuddles, and demands plenty of attention!

The Ideal Home:
-Best with another friendly cat.
-Great with gentle children.
-Needs basic safety measures for a blind cat (e.g., securing staircases or sharp edges). No special medical care needed just a loving lap!

Happy World Animal Day 🐾🌍

This story is dedicated to all the rescuers and fosters especially those of us fighting this battle where the weight of the world feels entirely too heavy to carry.

If you are a rescuer, you already know the exhaustion. You know the crushing despair of finding another dumped box of puppies or kittens on a lonely dirt road, the constant anxiety of overflowing shelters, empty pockets, and vet bills you don't know how you'll pay. You carry the images of cruelty and neglect in your mind long after you've closed your eyes at night. Sometimes, the indifference of the people around you feels like a wall you can no longer climb.

It makes you want to break down. It makes you want to quit.

But then you look at the ones we did save. The ones sleeping safely in a warm home right now, knowing love for the very first time because we refused to look away.

Down here, we can't save the whole world. But for the ones we do manage to place, heal, and love we changed their entire universe.

🤍

Για πληροφορίες:Adopt A Greek Cat
