Keeping you updated!

We have both good and not-so-good news:

— We have finished the quarantine in the CatFlat!
— We are behind on rent for the CatFlat 😔
— We’ve gone into the negative on our main account and had to use our emergency reserve fund
— We updated the sterilization request form: https://catebi.fillout.com/tnr-request-form
— We are planning to replace the windows in the CatFlat

The quarantine is over — which is great news. But during this time, we had to rely heavily on external foster care, and a significant part of our budget went there. That’s why financial support is especially important for us right now — to stabilize operations and keep going.

We are now in the negative on our main account, and we haven’t even paid rent for this month yet. It’s important for us to restore our reserve and avoid using it further — it’s meant for real emergencies. These funds were not planned for sterilization, but right now they help us keep things running.

On top of that, we have a planned window replacement in the CatFlat. During winter, we had to cover a broken window with plywood — now it’s time to properly fix it.

In addition to donations, we really need volunteer help:
— at events
— with cleaning in the CatFlat
— with processing applications

We really need your support! 💔

The past few days have been extremely difficult for us, and we need to share some painful news with you.

📍What happened?
A week ago, one of the cats in our CatFlat was diagnosed with panleukopenia. Sadly, he passed away. We are currently closely monitoring the other residents of the CatFlat and providing them with necessary treatment. Because of this, the CatFlat will remain under quarantine for at least another week.

📍The current situation
Due to the quarantine and emergency medical measures, we are running out of funds. There is almost nothing left in our account. While sterilizations are scheduled to resume in a week, we are currently facing a more basic struggle for survival.

📍How you can help
We urgently need funds to purchase the essentials:

Food for the cats.
Litter for their trays.
Puppy pads

✅But there’s also good news: this week we plan to sterilize 10–20 cats and place them in temporary foster care. During the peak of the breeding season, this is a crucial opportunity to prevent more homeless kittens from being born.

🌟 March Events Summary 🌟

Once again, we would like to thank all our volunteers, partners, and everyone who attended CATEBI events and fundraisers or supported us with donations! 💛 This month, we raised 1,059.8 GEL at our events.

These funds will help us sterilize 17 street cats in Tbilisi.

Your donations are especially important to us right now, after a very intense March with a high number of sterilizations. Every contribution truly makes a difference and helps us continue this work. 💛

🐾 Urgent help needed

There has been a recent outbreak of panleukopenia at Cat Flat this Friday.

So far, only one cat has been infected. We’ve moved him to an individual foster care, and he’s holding up quite well. He was already vaccinated, so we’re hopeful for a positive outcome. However, the entire space is now under a two-week quarantine.

We’re not asking for money, but we really need someone who could occasionally help take the cat to the clinic for treatment.

Important: it’s best if you don’t have kittens or unvaccinated cats at home (the virus does not affect dogs).

We will cover all expenses, including taxi rides.
