FAQ: Shy or nervous cat? No problem!

- I try to make sure I catch a glimpse of your cat
- if that’s not possible I look for cat evidence; have they eaten? Used the litter tray?
- I chat quietly to myself as I complete my tasks, this makes it easier for a hiding cat to track where I am and avoid me more effectively.
- I can sit calmly and wait if you think your cat may eventually show an interest in some company
- no photos unless they are comfortable

Hi! Just a quick update to let you know I’ll no longer be working through Cat in a Flat/Rover, as the new system doesn’t quite work for me.

I’m still offering cat sitting independently 🐾 To discuss any bookings, you can message me via my page, or email me on [email protected] while I get my website set up. Repeat customers can also contact me on WhatsApp or text as always.

I completely understand if you’d prefer to continue using Cat in a Flat, and of course wish you and your cats all the very best 😊

Hello lovely customers!
I just wanted to let everyone know that the booking platform I use (CatinaFlat) have merged with Rover (dog sitting service). While you can still find me on either site, it does mean my booking rates look a little different currently.
My rates are still £11 for once per day and £18 for twice per day for 30 min visits (those who’ve booked me before know I often stay a bit longer with cats who want to play!)
While I get used to the new system please send your requests and I can adjust the cost as needed.
Also- sorry but this does not mean I now cater to dogs, I’m definitely a cat person!

If your cat is low maintenance and doesn’t need lots of play time, a good way to reduce the costs of your cat sit is to buy a timed feeder and book a once per day visit. This is quite common for cats who are nervous or shy and don’t really need to spend time with a cat sitter, just be fed and checked on.
There’s a whole range of autofeeders available on the market and I’ve used a variety of different kinds by now!
