Horses genuinely make our day better 🥰

🌿 This , we're celebrating the powerful connection between equestrianism and mental wellbeing.

Spending time with horses offers so many benefits:

🐴 Stress reduction and mindfulness
Time with horses demands your full attention. Their presence helps you stay grounded, and being outdoors in nature supports calm and lowers stress levels.

💪 Confidence and empowerment
Small wins, like building trust with a horse or learning something new, can make a big difference to our self-esteem.

🧠 Emotional regulation
Horses are intuitive and respond to our emotions, which teaches us to become more aware of our own feelings, helping us to manage them more effectively.

🤝 Connection and companionship
The bond between horse and human runs deep. That sense of connection and routine helps reduce loneliness and gives many a real emotional anchor.

🏃‍♀️ Physical activity = mental boost
Riding, yard chores and daily care get your body moving, stimulating endorphins - our feel good hormones!

Whether you're on the ground or in the saddle, time with horses can make a real difference 💚

To the owner whose horse is stabled:
You work so hard to ensure your horses needs are met so they can live in comfort, you are so dedicated!

To the owner whose horse lives out:
Your horse is fortunate to have you provide them the space to roam and graze as nature intended!

To the owner whose horse is rugged:
Your horse will be so warm and cozy in their blanket, and less grooming means more time to ride!

To the owner whose horse is naked:
Their coats are fascinating how they adapt to the weather, aren’t they?!

To the rider who wears budget riding clothes:
You know that your horse couldn’t care less what you are wearing - you must have saved alot of cash which could go towards your horses care!

To the ‘matchy matchy’ horse and rider:
Wow… You both look incredible! You don’t have to be a grand prix rider to ride in luxury, be proud!

To the rider who only rides once a week:
It is so difficult to fit horses in around the rest of our lives. It’s great that you make the time to do what you can, when you can, what a reward that must be for all your hard work!

To the rider who never rides their horse:
How lovely for your horse to spend their life being cuddled, groomed and grazing in the fields, you must have a wonderful relationship!

To the rider who rides everyday:
Go for it! Your commitment is admirable and your horse is benefiting from training and fitness. Well done!

To the happy hackers:
You are living the dream of millions, what an honour to share such adventures with such extraordinary animals!

To the rider who has regular lessons:
Amazing - What a wealth of knowledge and expertise you have access to!

To the self-taught rider:
You must be so proud. What an achievement!

To the competitive rider:
You inspire me. Your results and rosettes are impressive. They are not won without hard work, sacrifice and talent. You deserve your success!

To the rider who has never won anything:
Who cares?! Your horse doesn’t…the passion you have for your sport is worth so much more than a rosette!

To the rider that is still chasing their dreams:
Keep going and don’t give up, enjoy the journey and believe will get there eventually. The hardest won successes are the sweetest!

To the barefoot fanatic:
I admire your passion. Barefoot is a great option for many horses. It is wonderful that you are exploring ways to keep your horse as natural as possible!

To the owner whose horse is shod:
Shoes are the best option for many horses. It’s great to know that your horse’s feet are protected from the surfaces that we ask them to work on!

To the owner who keeps their horse immaculately groomed and trimmed:
Well done, I applaud your attention to detail and your horse looks just beautiful, what a wonderful way to bond, too!

To the owner whose horse is caked in mud:
We can laugh and cry together - horses love to roll in mud - why waste time polishing them every day?!

As long as your horse is happy and healthy, what you do with your horse is nobody else’s business. The only time anybody should interfere is if there is a genuine equine welfare issue, a safety issue, or if you have specifically asked for advice or help. Otherwise, please let’s not judge others.

‘Each to their own,’ and if it’s good for your horse then ‘good for you!’

Wow what a Championships!!!! We had a bit of a rocky start with Shannon not settling at all…couldn’t cope with all the lorries coming and going and the 49mph gusts threatening to take the roof off the temporary stables (it was all a bit much 🙈🙈) but my god did she pull it out of the bag today!!! We came an incredible 8th place 🥳🥳 (I was happy with top 20 in such a big class!!!) she gave me an amazing ride, stayed with me and let me help her around the test and gave me the best ride EVER!! 😍😍 so proud of her! 🤩
