I can't believe how fast the time is going. So quick update: last month was a lot...we've had a death of what I call my adoptive grandad, Paul's dad is very sick and has been in and out of hospital and last month I also went to Vienna and today we have just got back from New York! So sorry, for the lack of updates! 😉

BUT what has also happen is this....remember my bird hating dog?? Well look at her now...she has chicken friends!!!! I honestly NEVER thought we'd get to the point where they could be out together but Harley has been amazing with them! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! 😂

How are you all and how are the doggies!?!?!?! Are they are settled at their new daycares?

Little update today from the fluffy butt gang! Today the group became a gang as our last 4 girls arrived today. Very different looking and I've never had this breed of chicken before so it could be interesting 🤣 The OG girls are roaming about, so won't be long before the Fabulous ladies can join them 😁

So I thought I'd wait until the end of this week so I can get the first update from all of you! How did the first week go? Are the dogs all happy in their new daycares??? I also wanted to thank everyone for the cards and gifts - I honestly didn't open them until Wednesday because I was feeling a bit down and I just knew opening them would set me off but they are lovely and much appreciated. 🥰 An update from my side is we have 4 new friends for Harley - I will say that Harley has almost stopped barking completely as she is so mesmerized by them. We did two days with her on lead when going outside so she didn't just run up to the coop and scare the bejesus out of them and now she's happy to just watch them! As you can see in the photo's - Harley has also been catching up on some much needed naps! 🤣 If anyone wants to go on a walk one weekend - message me and I'll put a post up and see if anyone else wants to join - may as well make the most of this weather, while I am still here 😁

If anyone has a few quid lying around - please buy or donate to the Red Foundation for the roughly 70 dachshunds that they have just rescued from ONE place!!!! I've just bought food from their Amazon wishlist....every little bit helps!!! 😢

Now the dust has settled a little after yesterdays events we wanted to say once again a huge thank you to you all for your care, compassion and support.🫶🫶🫶

We have had a lot of messages asking us if the dogs in our care need anything as they obviously left with nothing, and so we have created their own Wishlist to set them up with a new bed, toys, treats etc.❤❤❤

We are hugely grateful for the donations made yesterday too and anything that isn't covered off the Wishlist we will ensure the dogs get out of the donations made. All dogs will be being vet checked over the next few days and any medical treatment that they need will be covered by your generous donations.

I am writing to inform you of an important update regarding my doggy day care and boarding services.

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close this chapter of my business. As of 28th March, 2025, I will be ending all doggy day care and boarding services.
I also wanted to let you know that while I had planned to increase my rates as of 1st January 2025, I will no longer be implementing this change due to the upcoming closure. My current rates will remain in effect until the final day of service.

It has been an absolute pleasure caring for your beloved pets and being a part of their lives. I am deeply grateful for the trust and support you have shown me over the years.

If you need recommendations for alternative care providers, I am busy compiling a list of providers in our area so let me know and I can email this to you.

Harley went in for an operation today to have a fatty lump removed and she did well, came home wagging her entire ass 🤣 Louis who is currently boarding with us is looking after her and being sooo gentle...its so sweet! 🥰🥰

Some important updates from my side!

At the end of 2025, I will be closing the doors of Hot Dog Saloon. We will be moving up North as many of you know and my license also expires then, so I wanted to give you PLENTY of notice so that you can have the time to find alternative care. I will be keeping this FB page open and therefore will be expecting that you all keep in touch and I want monthly updates (at least!) to see what all the dogs (and you), are up too! 😁

From 1st of Jan 2025 my prices will also be going up to the following:

Daycare - £30 p/d (this covers up to 10 hrs between the hours of 7am and 7pm - anything out of these hours will be charged at £6 p/h)

Boarding - £45 p/d (this covers 24 hours from drop off)

Hourly rate - £6 p/h

Half day - £18 (up to 4 hours)

I hope you all find the above changes acceptable. However, if you wish to use another licenced service or a pet sitter who comes to stay with your dogs in their own homes, please know that i will not be offended.

Greetings from Mexico!!! We arrived safely and so far just on the resort have seen iguanas, coati's, agouti and so much more...I am loving it! I shall be having cocktails for all of you today...Next to the pool in 40 degree weather...I just feel it would be rude not too! ;)
