⭐️ TRAINING • DAY ⭐️

Alex joined me for a second training day and gave Neo the most fabulous maleover 🥹🧚‍♀️

Some important takeaways I’ll never forget:
✧ When a groomer says that your salon is so peaceful and the environment is so relaxing it gave them the opportunity to rethink and reassess their grooming objectives and make challenging but positive changes to reflect their new perspectives

✧ I’m grateful to meet groomers who hold such a deep passion for their craft and with continued desire to pursue and refine techniques so that they can practise and share with their own students

✧ When talking about anatomy and correcting shape, I realised how much I talk negatively about my experience with Neo when he was a puppy and his overall body shape and I will work hard on changing it 😭 I love him so dearly and there will only be one Nee-Naw Nee-Naw ♥️

☀️ EMPATHY ☀️

Empathy
(noun)
It is the psychological act of mentally putting yourself in someone else’s shoes to grasp their perspective.

Bringing home Link, and welcoming a dog into my life helped me to unlock levels of empathy and compassion I never knew I had, and losing him only amplified it.

The absence of compassion and empathy in people can be frightening and I do my best to steer well clear of them. I’m suspicious of people who don’t like dogs, but I trust dogs when they dislike a person.
