I have had the best time being Sherlock Bones' (Lockie's) (🐕) best friend this week. I got the boy on a paddleboard and he had a phenomenal time. Barely 1 year old Lurcher with all the beans.

Bittersweet spending Maisie's (🐈) final week with her, before she crossed over the rainbow bridge earlier today🌈 Most heartbreaking conversation with her owners while they're still away. Rest easy gorgeous girl, she was older than me ###

I have very few spaces remaining on my puppy classes beginning on 19th July 2026 for 6 weeks.

09:00-10:30: for puppies pre-adolescence

11:00-12:30: for our grumpy teenagers and adult dogs.

The fee is £80 for the 6 week block, to be used consecutively for this course. I will soon be hosting classes every week but not just yet.

Whether your dog is a chill dude or completely unhinged, obedient or selective hearing, an anxious baby or everyone's best friend, my classes will be a safe space for all.

Smaller class sizes so you actually get to ask the trainer all of your wonderful questions. On a quiet (ish) road so there's less distractions. On-site parking with CCTV coverage. And most importantly, a trainer who understands that the puppy/adolescent stage isn't for the weak.

All breeds are welcome including those covered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. Unfortunately, those dogs do need to wear their muzzle, I asked my insurance very nicely not to but their answer was final.

The good thing about being a dog walker during a heatwave is that I get to sit in my garden with my feet up, sipping cocktails all day... 🍹☀️
Well, that's the theory anyway! The truth is I'd much rather be out with the dogs. I don't look for excuses not to work, even on the hottest days, but their safety has to come first.
As much as I miss being out in the forest and field with them, walking dogs in this kind of heat just isn't worth the risk. I'd rather have a few quieter days than put any of my furry clients in danger.
Hopefully the temperatures will drop soon and we can get back to our normal adventures. Until then, stay cool everyone, and please think twice before taking your dogs out in the heat. 🐾❤️ 😊🐾🍹

Small businesses supporting small businesses!!

A ginormous THANK YOU to Susan Hayward from Unleashed Pet services. this week!

Without Susan, I would have had to close my business. With my car insurance, renewing next month, being entirely unaffordable (£5,000+ for the year) due the non-fault crash I had back in November, and some very silly points on my license from 2023 - I couldn't afford to renew and therefore continue the job that I love so much.

Susan, as my direct competitor (another dog walker in Royal Wootton Bassett) could have very easily not helped me, and reaped the benefits of it by getting more business.

But she didn't, without any hesitation "Put me on as a named driver, I don't have any points or claims!" Adding her as a named driver reduced my premium by over 60% !!

Don't get me wrong, it's still extortionate, but it's affordable, it's doable, it means I get to stay in business.
