10 years ago today we adopted this wonderful girl from after meeting her at their fundraising dog show.

Shine didn't have the best start in life. She was picked up as a stray and taken to a dog shelter. They decided that she should be destroyed but luckily the fantastic people at Greyhound Gap stepped in and put her into a foster home with a lovely couple and their dogs.

I will be forever grateful to Shine's foster humans Deb and Steve and to Lisa at Greyhound Gap for stepping in and rescuing my girl.

As Shine was a rescue, we didn't have a date of birth for her like we did for our beloved Jazz 🌈 and we wanted her to have a birthday too. We were told that she was around 12 - 18 months old so we decided that the day we adopted her would also be her birthday.

So, Happy 11th Birthday and Happy 10th Gotcha Day to our amazing Shine. You are our favourite ginger nuisance and we wouldn't be without you 💜🐾

I recently had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous boy and his family for a 1-2-1 training session.

They wanted to work on a couple of behaviours including walking nicely on a lead. They also asked for help with his reactivity towards other dogs, when out on a walk.

We had a good chat and we went through some useful exercises to help him build his confidence and start to have some positive experiences when on a walk.

In order to keep your dogs safe during the warm weather, it may be necessary, where appropriate, to swap your dog walk to a garden visit. All decisions will be made on a dog-by-dog basis on the day.

I've been a bit quiet on socials this week. I didn't have the best bank holiday weekend as I was really poorly, and its had a knock-on effect throughout the week. I've made it to Friday, though, and I did manage to take some lovely pics of your pooches.

I'm absolutely shattered but have had a fantastic weekend at skills weekend.

Millie did so well, and I learnt a new way to ask a greyhound to lie down without being in a sit first (which she doesn't do).

It's been an eye opened and I have some great ideas for classes moving forward.

They all did so incredibly well at their first training class. I'm excited to see how they progress over the next six weeks.
