Things I get asked……
Q: “What about going to the toilet?”

A: That’s fine but make sure your dog goes and comes back in, or use a lead to stay in the shade.

Q : “When do I walk it then?”
A: Get up earlier and go in the morning.

Q: “My dog usually has 2 walks, what if it’s too hot when I get home for the dog be walked? “

A: No dog ever died from missing a walk!

Due to the really hot weather which we have all been experiencing, we have taken extra precautions with our dog boarders who have come to stay during June. We have been doing very limited walks, sometimes very early in the day or late at night and generally around our fields- so that their paws have been protected as much as possible or sometimes we have taken the decision to not walk them. They have still had gentle exercise in the garden but no ball chasing. They have all been given ice cubes with blueberries or cucumber in them to help call them down. Extra cuddles have been the way to go. This will continue to be our motto whilst the hot weather is here for us all to enjoy safely. Please think about their paws when deciding to go for a walk, as much as they will want to go, their paws easily burn.

These are just a few of our boarders whom we had the pleasure of getting to know during April; we were lucky enough to cross off a dalmatian of the breed list as we had our first dalmatian- Dolly, she had a lovely nature. We also had the pleasure of other new clients, which we are always happy to meet and learn about there individual needs! But, lets not forgetting our returning clients of which we really appreciate your continued support- it goes without saying how much we love your furry companion that we have all come to love having in our lives. We look forward to seeing you all again.
