Watch out for:
🦶 Hoof tenderness or a shorter stride
😤 Sudden girthiness, spookiness or overexcitement
💩 Bloating, wind or loose droppings
⚖️ A noticeable jump in weight or condition

Good doers, laminitics, and PPID horses are especially at risk right now, but honestly, it's worth keeping an eye on every horse as the grazing changes.

I am always extremely grateful to receive reviews on my Facebook Business page after services have been carried out.

Happy with the services provided but not sure how to leave a review? Follow these steps!

1. Click on Verity Hill Equine Services page.
2. Scroll down slightly until you see the section labelled ‘Details’ and there you’ll find a ⭐ with ‘100% recommend 55 reviews’. Click on this.
3. You can then read other people’s reviews and click on the ‘yes’ button to leave a recommendation.
4. Write your review in the box and you can leave photos too should you wish. Then click share.
5. Make sure your privacy settings are set to public which is a 🌍 symbol so everyone can see your review!

🧾 Invoice Service Payment Reminder 🧾

A little reminder of my payment policies.

I’ve had to chase quite a few invoices over the last week, which all takes up my time and energy and leaves me with bills to pay, especially as a lot of my insurance bills etc come out either at the end or beginning of the month. 😬

🐴 Please make sure invoices are paid within 24 hours of the service being completed or the invoice having been received. If you are struggling to do this, please let me know and I can try and help.

🐴 Late Invoice Payment Fees: If invoices are repeatedly not paid within 24 hours I will send a payment reminder. If payment reminders are repeatedly being given, late payment fees will be incurred. 10% of the invoice total will be added onto the unpaid invoice every two days and a new invoice will be sent with the added fees every two days until the invoice has been paid. If these are unpaid I will cancel any more upcoming services until payment is received.

Thank you to those who always pay as soon as they receive their invoice or pay on the day the walk or home visit has been carried out, you are very much valued and appreciated. 🐴 ❤️

🪒 🧾 Clipping Booking Policies 🧾 🪒

When booking in for all clipping and trimming services, the following policy documents will be sent to enable a smooth and efficient booking process and to make sure I can provide your horse with the best clip and clipping experience possible.

Things like making sure your horse is washed properly the day before and is clean and dry upon my arrival makes such a difference to the quality of the finished clip.

And little things like tying your horses tail or mane in a knot so they are out of my way, and making sure I won’t be kneeling in horse urine/poo and can clip on a flat, level surface make a difference to the time it takes me to clip and also my overall health!

If you’re not sure what clip you would like I can also advise you and can help advise on conditions such as CPL, sweet itch, feather mites which would benefit from regular clipping services.

I am taking clipping and trimming bookings for October onwards.

Why clip?
✂️ To help regulate your horse’s body temperature more effectively.
✂️ To reduce sweating and the likelihood of your horse catching a chill.
✂️ To minimise grooming time.
✂️ To encourage glossy Summer coats.
✂️ For health and medical reasons and comfort e.g. Cushings, Feather Mites, CPL, Sweet Itch.

I have availability over the coming Autumn/Winter months for clipping services. Please get in contact for prices and availability.

** Please note a £15 non refundable deposit is required to secure any clipping bookings.**

I have a range of cordless and battery operated clippers and trimmers and always aim to provide a calm, professional and safe clip with your horse’s welfare at the heart of the service provided.

🎓BHSQ Level 2 Foundation Coach in Complete Horsemanship
🚸DBS Checked
🏇Fully insured & certified member of the BGA and BHS
⛑️UK Rural Skills Certificate in Emergency Equine First Aid

🚙 Areas within 8 miles of South Wingfield covered: Crich, Wessington, Alfreton, Somercotes, Ripley, Ambergate, South Normanton, Tansley, Matlock, Stretton, Higham, Stonebroom, Clay Cross, Newton, Tibshelf, Belper, Heage.
🚗 I can travel further afield at an extra rate of 0.45p per mile

✈️ 🚨 Out of Office 🚨 ✈️

We are away today Thursday 3rd - Friday 4th September at an agility training day and competing at Chatsworth!

I have noticed an increase in messages on my holiday days off recently, more so than my actual working days. I would be grateful if people wouldn’t mind waiting until I am back at work before messaging unless urgent, so I can switch off and recharge properly. Please also check my social media pages for holiday updates before messaging. 🙏

A reminder Bank Holiday/Weekend/Personal Holiday charges are as follows:
