Honestly, I can’t believe this still needs saying, but this week I’ve still seen multiple dogs being walked during the hottest part of the day.

I’m talking 1pm in around 30°C heat.

Your dog will be okay missing a walk.

They may not be okay walking on burning pavements or overheating in extreme temperatures.

Please share this with anyone who may not realise the risks of walking or exercising dogs in hot weather.

☀️ Heatwave Reminder☀️

With the warmer weather approaching this week, a lot of your dogs may understandably be having their usual walks shortened, rearranged, or cancelled to keep them safe in the heat.

If anyone is needing a little extra pet care support, I may be able to help with short drop-in visits for toilet breaks, fresh water, feeds, enrichment, and company during the day etc.

Availability will be limited, but feel free to message and I’ll always do my best to help where I can🤍x

Daycare is a really great option for a lot of dogs- but some are better suited to a quieter life in their comforting surroundings.

A lot of the dogs we see are either young puppies, elderly dogs with medical needs or nervous rescues, just like the gorgeous Saul shown here.

Saul was rescued by his owner from abroad and has such a lovely temperament, though his past life has left him with some trust issues and he can be pretty wary of humans. To help build the trust between us, I’m ensuring slow and calm visits and giving him lots of space. Small enrichment activities involving food also help to reassure him I’m safe🤍

I feel very lucky to be trusted by so many owners to care for their pets- I don’t take it for granted🫶🏻

Each 30-minute visit can include:

📸 Updates so you know they’re doing okay

Current weekday routes:
