Missing Dog – Please Help Find Hamish

Hamish, a liver and white Springer Spaniel, went missing on Monday from the Rockley Park area, Hamworthy.

There have been several sightings along Blandford Road, around Turlin Moor and near Cobbs Quay.

We are asking everyone in the highlighted area on the attached map to please:

Check gardens, sheds, garages, and outbuildings for any sign of Hamish.

Review any Ring doorbell or CCTV footage for possible sightings.

⚠️ If you see Hamish, please do not chase, call, or try to catch him – this could cause him to run further.

👉 Instead, call his owner immediately on 07739806379.

Please share this post as widely as possible so we can bring Hamish home safely.

This morning we were contacted about a dog who had gone missing after chasing a scent.

The owner acted quickly and reached out within just a few hours.

Once we had all the details, we were able to offer guidance, highlighting the car park as an area of real interest.

And sure enough, a few hours later, where did the little adventurer turn up? Back at the car park.

Below is the message trail, along with some useful advice on what to do in those crucial first hours after your dog goes missing.

Welcome home, little one.

At 1:00pm today we received a call about Bertie, a miniature dachshund who had been spooked by dogs whilst on a walk and gone missing in Wareham Forest. He had been gone for a few hours when we were contacted.

We guided the family through immediate search actions: one person waiting in the car park in their vehicle, another at the last seen location, and a close family member calmly walking a small loop with Bertie’s mum and sister. We advised them not to call out, but instead remain calm and speak in a normal tone, as we believed Bertie hadn’t gone far but had likely gone to ground.

Hours passed without a sighting, but we reassured the owners that this was common and asked them to continue. Then, after seven long hours, Bertie’s owner, still waiting patiently in her car in the car park, saw him walking down the track towards her. Moments later, he was safely reunited.

We’re so pleased Bertie is home safe. This shows just how important immediate, calm actions are in the first 12–24 hours of a dog going missing.

Welcome home, Bertie.

On Thursday we received a call that Bob had been missing for a few hours after chasing a deer into the harbour near Upton.
With long reeds, deep mud, and incoming tides, this was a high-risk area. Our team deployed within minutes with the thermal drone to begin the search.

While on route, we were relieved to hear that Bob’s owner had managed to reach him, despite the hazardous conditions. Thankfully, Bob is now home safe.

Our thermal capability gives us the best possible chance of locating dogs in dangerous terrain. If your dog ever goes missing, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Out in the fields, every search is a journey of patience and perseverance.

The rainbow is a reminder that even in difficult moments, there’s always hope waiting on the horizon.

On Monday we deployed to Yetminster to support the search for Thatch, who had gone missing during a walk the previous day.

Our primary focus was to clear the nearby railway using the drone. With experience in railway searches, we know the correct altitude, camera type, and angle needed to conduct a thorough search. Over the course of more than 30 minutes, we carefully scanned the track in both directions and were relieved to confirm there was no sighting of Thatch.

Ground teams from other organisations were also actively searching on foot. After completing the railway sweep, we extended our drone search to the surrounding fields and fence lines, in case Thatch had become caught. Once again, we were able to clear a large area efficiently, reporting no sightings.

With ground teams continuing the search alongside the owners, we shared advice and stepped back, making it clear we were ready to redeploy if needed.

That evening came the wonderful news that Thatch had been spotted, safely secured, and reunited with his family.

Welcome home, Thatch. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the search and gave reassurance to Thatch’s owners during such a worrying time.

✨ WILLOW IS HOME ✨

This evening we received the best news we could have wished for, Willow finally showed herself and made her way home. Just one day short of two weeks since she first went missing, she is now safe where she belongs.

Willow disappeared in Fishlake Meadow Nature Reserve, an area not accessible on foot. We were called in on the 12th August and, thanks to the support of the Reserve Officer, we were given permission to fly the drone to start the search.

That first day was spent carefully scanning from the air, searching for Willow but also building a picture of the land below. This was then followed by a search of the perimeter on foot, followed by a drone search of the nearby railway.

We found no sign of Willow.

After reviewing the footage, we returned a few days later to focus on areas that needed a closer look, both by drone (in the reserve) and by foot along potential routes out.

Still nothing.

We knew then that we had to enter the reserve itself.

Permission was granted, and on Tuesday two of our team joined Willow’s owner Ray and his daughter to carry out a tough ground search. We swept through the reserve, clearing the barbed wire fence lines, and then batted through dense undergrowth for hours.

Nothing was found, but that gave us hope she may have managed to get out.

And today, that hope became reality. Willow was spotted in the reserve car park before making her way home and waiting calmly to be let in.

We are absolutely overjoyed that this lovely girl is back safe.

Welcome home, Willow. ❤️

We are a not-for-profit organisation and rely on donations to cover the costs of our kit and equipment. Any donation would be hugely appreciated, the link is in the comments. 🙏

Willow Search Update

This morning we were granted access into the reserve to continue the search for Willow, starting at 07:15 in extremely tough and challenging terrain.

Our team carefully made our way across the barbed wire fence to check the entire area thoroughly. Once that was complete, we formed a search line and worked methodically across the section where Willow was last seen. Sadly, there were no signs of her.

We now believe Willow may have moved out of the reserve, so our focus is expanding to include more posters and door-to-door enquiries with homes that back onto the reserve.

We remain fully committed to supporting Willow’s owners and will leave no stone unturned in the search.

Willow Search Update

We’ve been working closely with Willow’s owners and were back out today continuing the search.

One of the main challenges is having no access to the reserve, and even in the areas we can reach, the terrain is extremely difficult to navigate.

We’re progressing carefully to ensure every step of the search is thorough, which does take time.

Please keep Willow and her family in your thoughts as we continue.

Early this morning, our team deployed to Romsey to assist in the search for Willow, who went missing from her home On Friday and was later sighted in Fishlake Meadow Nature Reserve.

Due to the reserve’s inaccessibility on foot, we conducted an aerial flight using our thermal drones and then carried out a foot search around the perimeter. The information gathered has allowed us, in coordination with the owners, to initiate the next phase of the search.

We ask that members of the public do not conduct searches for Willow. If you spot her, do not call or give chase. Instead, immediately contact the owner on +44 7368 394579.
