🌞 Too Hot to Walk – A Summer Pledge🌞

When daytime heat begins to rise,
And shade is scarce beneath the skies,
A walk may seem like simple fun —
But risks run high beneath the sun.

Dogs can’t cool themselves like we do;
They sweat through paws — that much is true.
Hot ground can burn, and rising heat can quickly knock them off their feet.

Even travel adds its strain,
Before we’ve even reached the walking place.
So when I cancel or replace,
It’s not a choice I like to make, but home really is the safest place.

Welfare leads in all I do, your dog’s wellbeing guides me through.
Their health comes first — that’s always clear, in every season of the year.

Each leash I hold, each name I say,
I treat with care in every way.
They’re not my own—but in my stride,
They’re family walking by my side. 💕🐾

🐾 Please be careful in this heat, heatstroke is real & is very serious/deadly! The pavements are burning hot🔥 please use the 5second hand test method, tarmac/asphalt holds the heat so even if it feels cool out please check 🙏
I, along with many other professionals in the local area, have had to cancel walks & this is not a decision that is made lightly so please stay safe & have a fabulous weekend! 🫶🏻
