Once again a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our recent Marathon in a week and more recently the card that Dawn is running.
I was recently contacted by a sibling worker from Acorns Children's Hospice in Walsall to see if would consider visiting a group of pre and post bereaved siblings. I agreed immediately as Bandit did a little bit of work previously with bereaved children and he was amazing and I think they gained a lot from the visits. I contacted Katy from Fireworks as we love working with them and I knew they would love to be there with us.
We're just waiting for dates but I think it could become a series of visits and so we decided that our recent fundraising would go towards that and thought it would be lovely if the children get books and we can also give some to the hospice.
I think it's nice to see what your generosity achieves and I know you'll look forward to our updates from the visit/s
Thank you again. As always it's very much appreciated.

Our walk this morning has taken us to 27.4 miles and the to the end of our marathon in a week. Not the best weather with plenty of rain, wind and bursts of hot sunny periods but everyone coped and it’s another one ticked off.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported us, it’s lovely to know people are with us. We’ll be putting a little bit of info later about what we’re raising money for as we have a specific event coming soon that we want to make special.

"I'm Not a Pandacow" is a delightful children's book written by M.T. Sanders and illustrated by Rebecca Sharp. Here's an overview based on available information:

- Plot: The story follows Monty, a large Newfoundland puppy, as he embarks on a journey to discover what kind of dog he is. Monty, teased by other dogs who call him a "Pandacow" due to his unique appearance, sets out to find his true identity by asking various dogs he meets. The narrative is engaging and humorous, with Monty's adventures providing both entertainment and a subtle lesson on self-acceptance and identity.

- Characters:
- Monty: The protagonist, a Newfoundland dog with a passion for writing, poetry, and blogging, which he shares with his "hoomans."
- Other Dogs: Various dogs Monty meets on his journey, each offering a humorous or misguided guess about his breed.

- Themes: The book touches on themes of identity, self-discovery, and acceptance, all wrapped in a fun and light-hearted story suitable for young readers.

- Reception: The book has been well-received, noted for its engaging storytelling and the vibrant, full-page illustrations which bring the story to life. Reviews highlight its appeal to both children and adults, especially those who love dogs or are involved in dog-related activities.

- Author and Illustrator: M.T. Sanders, the author, has a background in writing and blogging about his dogs, which led to this series. Rebecca Sharp provides the illustrations, adding a visual charm that complements the story.

- Series: "I'm Not a Pandacow" is the first in a series of books about Monty's adventures, including others like "Monty and the Ocean Rescue" and "Monty and the Poppit Dragon," indicating its popularity and the expansion of Monty's world.

- Educational Value: Apart from entertainment, the book offers educational value in teaching children about different dog breeds, the importance of kindness, and not judging others based on appearance.

With the cost of living and the constant rise in postage costs, more and more people each year are choosing to donate to Charities instead of sending Christmas Cards. By donating the amount of money you would normally spend on cards and postage to Charity, you are not only giving money to a good cause but you will also be helping to prevent some of the 1 billion Christmas cards that end up in landfills each festive season.
