Vicky 3yr Labrador

Vicky is an absolute darling with people. A sweet natured, gentle and affectionate companion who just wants to be with you. About standard medium lab size at 31kg.

She's good in the house and garden, a happy soul who delights in bouncing around the garden wagging like mad and rolling in the grass for tummy rubs. She's starting to play with toys too.

Vicky is sharing her foster home with 2 dogs who she gets on well with. She walks nicely on lead and meets other polite dogs well, particularly if smaller. Dogs who come rushing over will get a good barking at, particularly if they are bigger than her. She's not aggressive, she's scared.

She needs an experienced home with a strong, understanding leader so she can feel secure. With more socialising and the right handling, we believe she will get over this. She is already mixing with dogs in the foster home.

NB Vicky is not always good meeting dogs in the home either. This will also need work so she will be best homed as an only dog unless people are experienced and willing to do a gradual introduction once in the new home.

Spike is a nearly 6yr old liver and white cocker spaniel, he is castrated, microchipped, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and has a clean bill of health. He will be rehomed with 5 weeks free pet insurance.

Spike came to us from the stray pound where he wasn't claimed, we can see from his chip records though that he has been an outside dog from traveller background, dogs we are always so pleased to help as they are always the most amazing dogs.

Spike is an absolutely super boy, he is a typical super lively, super active and super friendly cocker who does everything at a million miles an hour, his tail always wagging. He is looking for a very active, outdoorsy type family who can give him the level of exercise and enrichment that he needs to keep him the fit and happy boy his is now. He is very loving and gentle and settled in so quickly into his foster home, he really is such a cracker.

Spike is seeking a rural home with a good sized secured garden to play in. He will need a home with another friendly neutered dog, ideally a female spaniel type would be perfect. He is great around the livestock and equines here and hasn't shown much interest in the cats. He has a very sound, loving temperament so we are happy to consider family homes with respectful dog savvy children aged 5yrs and over.

Spike walks well on the lead, travels well in the car and is great with the vet. He is fine being groomed and bathed and is house trained and non destructive. He is fine being left for a few hours in the day after plenty of exercise and sleeps downstairs quietly at night......pretty much the perfect boy.

This gorgeous girl is Poppy, an 8-year-old Crossbreed who is searching for a loving new family to spend her golden years with.

Making the decision to rehome Poppy has not been easy. She is very much loved, but due to changes in her owners’ circumstances, they can no longer give her the exercise she needs. Poppy is a strong dog on the lead, and while her owner has always walked her, he is now unable to do so because he is not strong enough. They want to do what is best for Poppy and find her a home where she can continue to thrive.

Poppy is a wonderfully affectionate girl who absolutely loves fuss, cuddles, and being close to her people. In fact, she’s happiest curled up on her owners’ bed at night! She’s friendly, enjoys the company of children, and loves meeting other dogs. She can be quite boisterous when she plays, so she’d be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can have all the attention to herself.

She has a healthy appetite and isn’t fussy with food, happily eating both wet and dry food, with chicken being one of her favourite treats. Poppy is microchipped, spayed, registered with the vets, and has no known medical issues.

Although she hasn’t travelled in the car very often, she has happily been on a bus, showing she’s adaptable with a little reassurance.

Poppy would suit an individual or couple, or a family with older children, who can confidently handle a stronger dog and offer her the love, attention, and exercise she deserves. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who will happily snuggle up beside you at the end of the day.
