Update - he's chipped but no answer so sage are calling the dog warden.

In tact male dog found wandering on Carr house road shelf, at sage vets waiting for him to be scanned!

I've seen far too many dog fights/attacks resulting in fatalities lately 💔

It is so important to know how to break up a dog fight... Choking the dog out is the fastest and safest way to get a dog to let go! Use it's collar, a lead, your belt, anything!

Putting sticks up their bum/ lifting their back legs/ hitting/ screaming isn't effective when a dog is in attack mode.

If the dog can't breathe, it can't bite!

Please know that if you are willing to step in to intervene during a dog fight that you are putting yourself at risk of being bitten, but also that it could save a life 😥😞

Update: poor girl was found wandering AGAIN on Monday morning, I contacted the owner who said they would collect her. I've been in touch with the vet who informed me they never showed up and she's now with the dog warden!

OWNER FOUND thanks everyone!

Female mallinois type dog found wandering in great Horton by the crown pub, her chip details aren't up to date. Please call me if you recognise her, the vets wouldn't hold her so walks are delayed for the moment.

Important stuff!

Do you know that Rawhide is DEADLY ???

It's available ALL year... But it won't be long till pet shops will start having things like this on their shelves! Christmas treats that can kill your dog. That's not very festive vans it is not right that the shops knowingly endanger our animal families lives.

It's horrible stuff and whilst many dogs can be fine on it many times it only takes one time to kill a dog... And ignoring the choking hazard.... They are full of horrible chemicals that also result to illness.

Raw hide is not a product of the meat industry, it's a product of the leather industry!

They bleach and glue raw hide to make these shapes.

How It’s Made

“Producing rawhide begins with the splitting of an animal hide, usually from cattle. The top grain is generally tanned and made into leather products, while the inner portion, in its “raw” state, goes to the dogs.” The Bark

It isn't digestible, and can often go stringy meaning it can get stuck down your dogs throat.

These are sold in 'good' pet shops and stores so people often think they are fine. But it's really worth knowing the danger. Look it up if you think I'm crazy!!!

There are so many alternative chews that are long lasting.

- non rawhide mix
-pizzles
-hooves
-horns
-antlers
-tendons
-ears

All these are totally natural and will not hurt your dog.

Logan used to have chews that are so similar to Rawhide in terms of toughness, but they are totally safe and explicitly say NO RAWHIDE on the front and back.

Check the back of any packet to ensure no Rawhide!

Pets at Home Poundland Tesco Home Bargains all sell Rawhide that is KNOWN to KILL DOGS... join me in demanding they stop

They also sell NON Rawhide chews! Even Poundland!! So wherever you shop, make a sensible choice.

8 Below Husky Rescue do loads of amazing treats online.

I urge you to join me in asking pet food sellers to stop selling Rawhide, something known to be highly dangerous to our beloved animals.

If you love them do not buy rawhide and let's help by not purchasing them put an end to the rawhide industry!

This photo represents two dogs. The first being a male XL Bully which is 20” tall at the withers. This under the governments standards would be considered dangerous and would therefore would fall under type of the ban.

The second dog, a standard Bully of 19.5” tall at the withers would be considered not dangerous or banned under DEFRA definitions of an XL Bully which focuses on height.

Make it make sense.

A Saturday night well spent preparing all of my gorgeous clients' Christmas treats 🎁

A final reminder that we will be finishing for the year on Friday 22nd December and returning to normal on Tuesday 2nd January ⛄❄️

I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support over the past year - many clients gained, a couple moved on, and one special girl, who sadly passed onto her next life💗

Let's talk warmer weather...🥵🌡️

As you will know, heatstroke can be deadly for dogs, here's what we are doing to ensure your pup's are safe & happy during the warmer months;

*Air vent & air con blasting in the van
*Road refresher bowls in every crate with fresh water
*Walking in shaded areas with running water
*Always carrying extra water during walks
*Earlier walks when excessively hot
*If too hot to walk - garden visits will be offered as a happy alternative! 🌞🌿
