UPDATE
Wallace is SAFE 🙌
This has been quite a journey - not just for Wallace but for the volunteers of both SAS and DSAR, Wallace’s family and the land owner.

It entailed moving of traps, cameras, daily attendance to bait the areas. We had a sighting come in on Friday night which led two of our volunteers to see Wallace for themselves on Sandspits Lane. More sightings came in on Sunday morning. But the little monkey continued to evade the traps.

We would like to extend our huge appreciation to the landowner, affectionately known to our team as Farmer Simon.
Thank you for letting us tramp all over your land and Pop live cameras up. But even more so THANK YOU for safely containing him, bringing his frightening ordeal to an end.

Well done to everyone involved. Wallace is with his family and being checked over by the vets.

Wallace is a brown miniature dachshund and is just under 1 year old.
He has been missing while on a walk since 10 August 2026.
Please see the information within the poster regarding his colouring and personality.
Wallace is microchipped. He is normally timid of strangers.

Could all people who live and work in / around the area please check their properties, outbuildings, under hedgelines and parked cars thoroughly.
🔶 If safe to do so, please leave outbuilding doors open for an hour or so, so he can escape if he is hiding 🔶
