Now we are well into winter and the grass is scarce, have you checked your horse’s magnesium and selenium levels lately? When pasture is low and hay is on the menu, these crucial nutrients can slip below what our horses need to stay happy and healthy.

Magnesium is a biggie for muscle function and keeping those winter jitters at bay, while selenium is essential for a strong immune system and muscle repair. Our NZ soils are often low in selenium, so it’s even more important to get levels checked, especially now.
