Handsome brothers Blue and Hickory have just completed their Adolescence Course - and absolutely smashed it!

I had spent time with both boys individually before they signed up to the course so we were really able to push it to the next level! Working on everything from lead walking to impulse control, a place command and frustration tolerance, focus work and managing excitability as well as adding in some Scentwork to channel that energy and put those big brains to good use!

It has been a pleasure working with the boys and their dedicated owners who have put bags of work into them! 💜🐾

After my gorgeous group of teens finished their Adolescence course, I thought it was only fair to open it up again for some more testy teens in need of some guidance!

This 6 week course is tailored to setting your teenager up to move from chaos to a calm, confident companion!

This small, group course will be packed with fun and useful training skills, from lead walking and impulse control, frustration tolerance and communication, all taught in a positive and rewarding way to really solidify your bond!

Just 3 handsome boys who are more than just a pretty face … they’ve just graduated the Engaged Canine Services Adolescence Class!

Super proud of these boys and their families, whose hard work is most certainly paying off! The teenage phase can certainly be a tough time so we have spent the last 6 weeks looking at all sorts of useful skills, from impulse control to lead walking, calmness to engagement and focus!

I was so lucky to be able to represent Therapy Dogs Nationwide with my wonderful girl Flo at Crufts this weekend!

We had a fantastic time sharing the magic of Therapy Dogs, alongside some other fabulous volunteers on our fab stall, which was like a little sanctuary of calm amongst the chaos of Crufts!

Crufts itself stirs up a whole range of opinions, and I get it! As with everything there are some great and not so great parts, however it is a brilliant opportunity to get out there and network with people, businesses and charities at the forefront of this industry! And primarily for us, raising awareness and funds for the fantastic Therapy Dogs Nationwide to enable the charity to continue delivering the fantastic opportunities it provides to so many people! 💛🐾

Flo absolutely loved the attention and of course has been rewarded with some well deserved treats!

I’ve gained a few new followers recently, so wanted to thank you for all your fantastic support! But I also thought it was probably about time that I reintroduce myself!

I’m Ellie, the face behind Engaged Canine Services! Working with dogs is my absolute passion, and I love nothing more than supporting dogs and their humans to live their best lives together!

✨ Scent work is one of my big passions and I used to work as an Operational Detection Dog Handler!

📚 I have completed a number of different qualifications from my degree in BioVeterinary Science to diplomas in Canine Communication, Behaviour and Training! And I am always on the look out to further expand my knowledge so carry out lots of CPD!

⛑️ I am a qualified Canine First Aid Instructor, so not only can I make sure the dogs in my care receive the highest possible quality of care, I also help other business and pet owners do the same for the dogs in their care!

💛 Alongside my soul dog Flo, I am a volunteer for Therapy Dogs Nationwide, helping to spread the magic of dogs to those who need it most!
