Yesterday was our final day of jumping at the second week of Hickstead September Tour.
Very happy with how our horses jumped throughout both tours, the progress of the 4 year olds has been particularly exciting. They have learnt so much, jumping in 3 different arenas, including the main ring, around encouraging, educational courses.
We are very fortunate to have such lovely horses, owners and a great team, we have lots to look forward to.
The rain we had at the beginning of the week meant that the ground was great for Charlie Blake and Shamrock who went to East Byshee Hunter Trials today, where they jumped a super clear round.

I am so delighted with Breen Equestrian’s Little des Forets, she shared first place with 3 other fantastic 4 year olds today in the 4 year old final at Hickstead. She was also the only four year old to jump clear every day this week 🤩
Hannah Lipczynski’s Colja also jumped in the final just touching one fence.
Olivia Taplin’s Z7 Calmini jumped a speedy round to be 14th out of 130 in the metre open. Westpoint Grandure jumped well in 1.20m Open. This week has been a huge team effort, everyone at Lincoln Stud has played a part, so thank you to everyone 😊

Much better weather today at Hickstead. I had three four year olds jumping the 4 year old qualifier. Little des Forets, Limited Touch and Colja, I was delighted that they all jumped clear which meant that they shared first place with 5 other 4 year olds. Video of Limited Touch.

September Tour Hickstead day 1 today and it was monsoon conditions, 🌧️ 🌧️ and then more 🌧️
Little des Forets was very game jumping a super clear in heavy rain in the 4 year olds qualifier, to share first place with six others. Limited Touch and Colja both jumped well in the same class with just 4f each.
Anne Nelson and I then tried to warm up for the Newcomers when the heavens opened, we literally couldn’t see, were soaked and decided to call it a day and go home.
Spent the rest of the afternoon trying to dry everything out for tomorrow.
A huge thanks to the organising team at Hickstead who did absolutely everything possible to keep the show running. Thanks also to Shivon Creasey and Michelle Dorion for helping and getting soaked in the process.

Final day of jumping at week 1 of the September Hickstead for me today.
I jumped the 1m Speed Derby on Olivia Taplin’s Z7 Calmini, which we both really enjoyed, it was great fun and we managed some decent turns to be placed 5th. I also jumped Olivia Taplin’s Z7 Merrylegs in the 1m Open and Michelle Dorion’s Rebel in the Newcomers, they both jumped super rounds just to have 4f. Anne Nelson jumped Tropical Storm in the BN, they jumped a super round with just
a small spook at the people watching.
Anne’s Hickstead isn’t over yet as she has qualified for the 1.10 final in the main arena on Ashmolean.

It’s been a very special day today, the final of the 4 year old championship in the main ring at Hickstead. I was excited and a little nervous with 3 qualified to jump.
First in was Breen Equestrian’s Little des Forets, she was so game and brave, jumping beautifully, just touching the planks in the jump off. Next was Hannah Lipczynski’s Colja, who we bought from Breen Equestrian at the beginning of this year. He took everything in his stride jumping an excellent clear.
Limited Touch came next, he really jumped with so much power, a slight steering mistake meant I circled but was thrilled with how he coped in such a huge arena. There was 22 in the final and just 5 double clears, this meant Colja shared 1st place with 4 other talented 4 year olds 🤩🤩🤩🤩
No time to celebrate as I went straight to jump Olivia Taplin’s Z7 Calmini in the 1m Open where she jumped a good clear to be placed. Anne Nelson who had helped all morning finally got to jump her homebred Tropical Storm in the BN, they jumped a lovely clear to be placed 6th.
Once again a thank to all our team, it takes a great deal of work to have all the horses ready to jump consecutive days.
It was a day to remember 🥳

A collection of photos from the last couple of days at Hickstead. Today we had really successful day. Anne Nelson jumped a super round in the 1.10 to be placed 7th and qualifying for the Final in the main ring 💪
I am so delighted with the three 4 year olds that we are producing, Little des Forets for Breen Equestrian, Hannah Lipczynski’s Colja and Limited Touch. They have all qualified for the 4 year old Final in the main arena, I am very proud of them.
Thank you to all the team at Lincoln Stud for working so hard, it’s a very busy week 🤩

Westpoint Grandure jumping a pleasing round today in the 1.20m qualifier for 14th place. Our day started much earlier with the 4 year old qualifier in ring 2. Breen Equestrian’s Little de Forets jumped a super clear round as did Limited Touch meaning they have both qualified for the final in the main ring. Hannah Lipczynski’s Colja also jumped well just touching one pole. Anne Nelson and Ashmolean completed what was a super first day for us by jumping a super double clear in the 1.10m Amateur qualifier 🤩

Photos of Jaffa, a beautifully bred 4 year old that we have here at Lincoln Stud. He was sent to us to be backed and produced quietly by his owner, who bought him as a yearling. His sire is the outstanding Comme Il Faut.
We have taken our time with him as he was big and raw when he arrived, he is now riding well in the arena, super to hack and has been to several arena hires for experience. He is very light on his feet, has lots of power and is showing a good technique over a fence.
Jaffa is super to handle, he is well mannered, kind and honest. We believe he has an exciting future ahead of him, it is now time for him to find a new 🏡 where he can continue his education.
If you are looking for an unspoilt, sound, talented young horse please get in touch for more details, photos, videos.

Another weekend has flown by for us. A quick trip to Felbridge on Saturday with 3 in the BN. Tropical Storm, Limited Touch both jumped good rounds with just 4f and Little des Forets was 4th.
Today we had a good show at Pyecombe. Breen Equestrian’s Little des Forests jumped a super round to be 6th in the BN. Hannah Lipczynski’s Colja is progressing really well and jumped clear in his first Discovery. Olivia Taplin’s Z7 Merrylegs just had 4f in an otherwise good round in the same class. Z7 Calmini jumped a speedy clear round in the 1.05 to be 4th. Very happy with the progress of these lovely young horses 🐴
