What seems like a year ago, the amazingly talented did an amazing ink-line drawing ✍️ of the back of our house 🏡 (in our opinion the most interesting view!)

Well, it’s taken me this long to get in the workshop and frame it 🖼️ but I’m so pleased it finally has a suitable home (ie a frame!) as it looks much happier now!

This was a project from scratch - which I guess they all are really, but I don’t always need to be so precise with milling the timber. This time though, rough sawn English oak was re-sawn, planed, rabbeted, mitred and splined with walnut, all before the acrylic was cut and mounting board made from some hardboard.

Noel also does does these amazing pictures for some of our clients in our other job but if everyone starts asking me for frames, based on how long this took me to get round to, I only have about one slot per year 😂 🗓️

Decided to make a nice, big end grain cutting board recently. This thing is big, thick, heavy and solid as a rock - my knives will thank me later!

Brown Oak and Walnut in different widths offer a lovely, simple design with a nice clean chamfer on all the edges to create that “floating” look when in use. Double sided and no juice groove to offer maximum area for when I have a lot to prep (like all the veg here for tonight’s spaghetti bolognese. Bon appetite!)

Turned this lovely 2 inch thick English brown oak slab from into some bespoke coffee tables to sit on top of/around these log store frames.

Fun little project with plenty of routing, jig making and straight edge clamping. Finished in some deliciously sympathetic .uk after a little TLC with some CA glue

Recent project finished for a good friend for a 35th wedding anniversary gift for his parents.

Created a silver-coral burst colour (as coral is the 35th wedding anniversary gift) and used some stunning Italian Oak following the shape of the natural live edges.

A stunning table centrepiece and presentation board which I’m sure will feature in many occasions for years to come!
