Herons View Care Farm Herons View Care Farm is a small scale, professionally run day care service for adults with learning disabilities, set on a 10 acre smallholding.

Herons View is a small scale, professionally run day care service for adults with learning disabilities. I offer a number of farm based activities in a predominantly outdoor environment alongside educational sessions in respect of these activies. My service users have a workbook each where they record their achievements. These include photographs, collages, activity work sheets and computer work.

The farmyard is a fenced area housing an arts and craft room, computer room, kitchen and dining facility, polytunnel, animal housing for the small animals, allotment area and a large barn. The service is developed for each individual by supporting their interests and promoting their strengths, developing practical and interpersonal skills in a friendly environment. Taster sessions are available on request.

Too much snow and ice at the farm today , so a trip to the Tank Muesum was taken instead.
