💔 Sad news this evening

A deceased dog has been found in the canal. The dog appears to be a dachshund and, sadly, is not microchipped.

There are signs of possible injuries, including what looks like puncture wounds to the neck.

📍 Location: Along the canal between Harden Road (Blakenall) and the area near the “Curly Wurly” bridge towards Coapool, in walsall.

What a day.

We had several alerts about a dog that had been wandering the streets for hours. Then came the sighting of her on the railway tracks, which caused absolute panic. Thank you to everyone who tried to help, but sadly she was so frightened that she couldn’t be caught at first & just resorted in being on the tracks.

A huge thank you as well to the person who arranged for the trains to be stopped. We were told this doesn’t usually happen, and that sadly if an animal is on the tracks, they are often just hit😫

Thankfully, she is now safe. Thank you to the team ❤️

Heartbreakingly, she was underweight and smelled awful 😞 We checked her microchip and it was registered, but the person listed on the chip said they had rehomed her two weeks ago and had no details of who to which is so irresponsible!

Imagine what this poor dog has been through — being rehomed, thinking she was going to a new forever home, only to end up treated like this 💔

When will the government start looking at the owners, bad owners! 😔

Everyone meet Rocco 🐾
He came into our care after his owner was unable to look after him due to allergies. She is absolutely heartbroken but our goal is to find him the best home as always ❤️

Rocco is coming 4 in September. Hes an absolute sweetheart and all he wants is lots of love.
He is great with people, kids, dogs and cats! He is such a sweet gentle boy.
Toilet trained & he will be neutered.

As you can see in the photos, he surrenders to the ladies 😂

This evening we received a call about a dog wandering the streets. Someone had tied him to a lamppost as they couldn’t stay with him.

Ten minutes later, we arrived to find two police officers standing about a foot away, & a lovely lady who had stopped after seeing the dog tied up. This dog was the happiest boy—wagging his tail basically saying, “Come and say hi!“

He was a bull breed, and when I asked the officers why they hadn’t approached him, they said they were wary because “you never know what they’re like.” & was currently waiting for back up.

It’s really sad that bull breeds are often viewed this way. A lot of that perception comes from negative social media and poor ownership, rather than the dogs themselves.

On the positive side, we scanned him and found he had an owner—he’d simply escaped from the garden as the gate was left open.
After a few treats and plenty of cuddles, he was safely returned home ❤️

P.s, as you can see from his face, he is not happy that he only made it 2 minutes from his home address & got caught!😂🐾

Yesterday we attended a property where several dogs was removed . The condition they were found in was upsetting — many were heavily matted, underweight, overgrown claws, ear infections, etc.

We have been working alongside another two rescues to ensure we can safely remove and care for as many of these dogs as possible as thats what its about, coming together & helping these animals!
A massive thank you to west midlands police for your assistance.

One of the dogs currently in our care is a Basset Hound He weighs just 17kg, when his healthy weight should be closer to 25kg. His claws are severely overgrown, making it painful for him to walk, and he is now currently on meds and battling an ear infection, hes currently had two baths due to the dirt and Urine all over him & hes still in need of a further groom due to how stained his fur is and the smell from him.

We are committed to giving him — and all the others — the care, treatment, and love they so desperately need.

Do you remember the two dogs we rescued from a yard in Handsworth?

Well, our beautiful girl — who we later discovered was pregnant — has now safely given birth to nine healthy puppies in her incredible foster home 🩷🐾

We honestly cannot thank her fosterer enough. She has been absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make sure mum and babies are safe, warm, and cared for.

We are Now asking for your help 🩷

Caring for mum and nine newborn puppies means costs add up very quickly:

• Puppy pads (we’re going through lots every day!)
• Bedding and blankets
• High-quality food for mum
• Puppy food in the coming weeks
• Vet checks, vaccinations and ongoing care

We are a small rescue with a big heart, and we simply couldn’t do this without our amazing supporters.
