From 4th June 2025, you’ll need a Northern Ireland pet travel document to take your dog, cat, ferret or assistance dog from Great Britain into Northern Ireland.

Residents in Northern Ireland do not need a pet travel document.

17th May- World Hypertension Day!

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is common in older cats and dogs. Where symptoms are shown, they’re more likely due to an underlying disease process such as kidney disease, hyperthyroidism or heart disease.

For some patients, hypertension doesn’t have any symptoms until organ damage occurs.

For the reason, we recommend annual routine blood pressure checks for cats and dogs 7 years old.

Our Nurses Can…. perform surgery! 🪡

Veterinary nurses may undertake some acts of surgery- examples can include suturing and management of wounds, lump removals, lancing and drainage of the abscesses and skin biopsies.🩹

They may also undertake dental hygiene work such as scaling and polishing, and other tasks like placement of feeding tubes and urinary catheters. No two days are the same in veterinary practice and our nurses have wide-ranging clinical skills to rise to the challenge. 💉
