If you can help, please consider helping.

Although Wakefield Pet Care closed a few years ago, we kept the page open so previous owners can always come back and look at pictures of their much loved pets.

Marc continued to run PayTheDog and is now the sole tenant of Little Field West Yorkshire which takes on rescues Farm animals destined to be killed.

We have had a few people asking how they can help...

Our biggest expense right now is this two little cheeky faces 😍

Did you know it cost upto £1000 a year per pig to correctly care for them!

Including food, bedding, vet bills and the occasional treats.

We would love to be able to have people visit the animals but unfortunately at the moment it is not a option due to security issues. (Apart from close family, friends...)

So we have decided to open up the pigs for sponsorship, for as little as just over 16p a day (£5 a month) you too can be a part of the Little Field family and keeping these two happy and healthy.

How do I sponsor?

Easy!

Message us, let us know which pig you'd like to sponsor (although the money will be spent on them both.) We will send you our bank details and you can set up a standing order for whatever date you want and cancel anytime without question from us 🙃 (You don't even have to let us know...)

Every month we'll send an updated letter from the pig you're sponsoring along with a letter from them. (So make sure you provide your address or if you want to go paper free why not send us your email instead 🌏)

We are also looking into getting more of the keyrings made as a little thank you from us for helping us 🐖

We can guarantee all money raised through sponsor programs goes straight back into the animals.

Please contact us again, your attempt to contact us might have been lost in a barage of messages.

It seems lockdowns have been harder on dogs than we first thought.

Marc has slots available next week for one to one training on:

Tuesday
Thursday
Friday

And some availability on Saturday and Sunday.

That's right, with guidelines due to change on the 17th we will be able to hold classes inside once again!

So here are some classes due to start from the 24th! For those wanting Puppy Classes we'll be updating the post with the dates shortly.

All held at our usual hall in Wakefield, Nostell.

Monday 24th

Confident Canine - 4 Weeks Course £45 - 6pm to 7pm

If your Pooch is lacking in confidence and needs a boost come join us for fun and games that help change those scaredy cats into confident canines. The class is low numbers so everyone feels safe and at ease.

Tuesday 25th

Click and Trick - 4 Weeks Course £45 - 6pm to 7pm

Does your dog know the basics?

Let's throw some tricks into their command list with Click and Trick Tuesday!

Centred around using a clicker, how to use it, how to capture and shape behaviours and fun tricks to keep your dog mentally stimulated. (You can do all this without a clicker too though)

Wednesday 26th

LifeSkills - 6 Weeks Course £65 - 6pm to 7pm

Understanding how dogs learn, how to get the best out of them whilst putting all those foundation basic Obedience skills I place!

Kennel Club Canine Good Citzens - Bronze 8 Week Course £85 - 7pm to 8pm

It's finally back! Dogs of any age can learn how to be a Good Canine Citizen with 8 weeks of training followed by an assessment from an Offical Kennel Club Assessor to gain their very own certificate and move through the ranks from Bronze, Silver and Gold!

Thursday 27th

Confident Canine - 7pm to 8pm
Same as the course on the 24th but due to a smaller class size we have put on an extra day.

Saturday 28th
LifeSkills - 6 Weeks Course £65 - 6pm to 7pm

As before £5 from every place book goes directly into our rescue pot and is donated to a local dog rescue to help with the continued care of homeless dogs.
