Earning a dog's trust to the point where they come to you for comfort, reassurance, and snuggles is one of the most rewarding feelings ever. 🥹💕

Whenever I care for a pet, I always take the time to let them get to know me at their own pace. Building trust is so important, and I want every dog to feel safe, comfortable, and understood from the very beginning.

When meeting a dog for the first time, I'm always mindful of how I approach them. I avoid strong fragrances, minimise unfamiliar dog scents, wear comfortable, non-intimidating clothing, and avoid prolonged eye contact until they're comfortable with me. My goal is to create a calm, positive environment without overwhelming them.

Sometimes, if it helps them settle, I've even left an item of clothing with them so they can become familiar with my scent and associate it with a calm, reassuring presence.

I've cared for all kinds of personalities, but it's the dogs who need that little bit of extra patience and understanding that truly capture my heart. Watching them slowly gain confidence and choose to trust you is something incredibly special.

I recently had the pleasure of pet sitting the lovely Luna and Maggie! 💕🐾

Both girls did amazingly well while their family was away for the evening. 🏡✨

Maggie likes to takes things at her own pace and It was so rewarding to see her confidence grow, and by the end of the evening she was happily curled up on the sofa right beside me 🩷

It was such a pleasure caring for these two gorgeous girls 🐾

Not to mention being spoilt with snacks by their owner, which was unexpected but so so appreciated! 🩷

🌿🐾 Welcome Cooper 🐾🌿

I’m super excited to have this lovely boy join us! 🐶

Cooper loves being out in the fields 🌿, gliding through the grass like it’s his runway✨

But the real highlight? Treat time🍖 Sitting so calmly and patiently… like butter wouldn’t melt 😇
(until the snack appears!)

He’s such an affectionate boy and an absolute pleasure 🥰
