Something was lurking at Vets for Pets Eastleigh and fortunately, it wasn't Dracula. 🦇

Just in time for Halloween, the team welcomed a male pipistrelle bat who had been found cold and dazed. Weighing just 12g, the team gave their tiny visitor a health check before contacting Bats Conservation Trust, who helped with his rehabilitation and getting him ready to continue on his way. Well done team 💚

‼️ Quick poll: Which pet-owner behaviour are you MOST guilty of? 👀👇

(the more unhinged the better)

‼️ PSA: this is your reminder to make sure your pet's microchip and ID tag details are up to date. ✅

Halloween is fun, but for some pets, it's a scary time. Even the calmest of pets can become spooked by costumes and masks. We're asking pet owners to keep them inside where possible and to double-check that their contact details are up to date in the event they become spooked and bolt.

Fish Of The Week - Cherry Barbs

😀These colourful little dudes are a great add to community tanks. Very placid and undeserving of their fearsome name.
🐠Males are slimmer and more colourfu, they do best when kept in 2:1 female:male ratio.
🐟Need to be kept in shoals of 6 or more.
🌍Originally from Sri Lanka but now found in South America too.
🍽️Love flake food and the odd bit of bloodworm.
🪴They look amazing against dark green plants like Anubias.
