Events include unaffiliated dressage and show jumping for all ages and abilities.

🐴✨ Out and About at Usk Castle Fun Ride! ✨🐴
Today it was the turn of Erin and Stevie, some of the newer horses in our equine team to experience a little more of the world outside college! 🏰🐎
At Coleg Gwent, we believe in giving our college-owned horses and working liveries a varied workload and plenty of different experiences. Hacking is such an important part of their education and wellbeing, helping horses to build confidence, experience new environments and enjoy a change of scenery. ❤️
It was fantastic to get some of our newer horses out and about, giving them the opportunity to explore, experience something different and enjoy a fun day away from the college. 🌳🐴
A great experience for both horses and staff — and hopefully the first of many adventures! 🥰

🐴✨ That’s a wrap on three fantastic days of training! ✨🐴

Today was the final day of our three days of summer training for our amazing team of equine staff at Prestige Equestrian Centre, and what a fantastic opportunity it has been! 🐎❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to Coleg Gwent for giving our staff the opportunity to train with such amazing horses and such quality schoolmasters.

Our staff have enjoyed developing their skills across both flatwork and jumping, including working on higher-level school movements such as passage and flying changes.

It has been a brilliant opportunity to learn, refine our techniques and challenge ourselves.
And what a fantastic team of equine staff we have! 👏❤️ Their enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to learn has made these three days so enjoyable.

A huge thank you to Prestige Equestrian Centre for welcoming us and to Coleg Gwent for giving our team this fantastic opportunity. We’ve absolutely loved every minute! ❤️🐴
