Christmas Appeal 2025
It's that time of year again!
At Christmas time we usually put out our Christmas shoebox appeal for the animals in our care. Every year we are blown away by your generosity and support you show the sanctuary.
Last year Dunelm Basildon included us in their delivering joy campaign which was a huge success and they have very kindly included us again this year.
We began this annual appeal back in 2012 where each year on Christmas Day every animal at the sanctuary receives a gift from you be it a toy, treat, christmas dinner tinned food via Jollyes and new blankets etc.
We would like to concentrate this years appeal on mainly food donations. This can be cases of dog tins and boxes of cat sachets. Food is something we always need and will always use. Although we receive many food donations, we do buy alot aswell. In particular for our animals on particular foods/diets.
Our amazon wishlist will include many items and food products we use daily at the sanctuary to give you an idea.
Not forgetting our farm animals where donations include hay, straw and feed from Manor Farm, Upminster 01708 224666 who are happy to take donations over the phone and when we go in they will deduct your donations from our total. We are there weekly or every other week usually. This time of year we get through much more hay, straw and feed than during the warmer months!

We are home to many permanent residents aswell as animals who are up for adoption. Our adoptions will soon stop and will resume again in the new year.
Currently at the sanctuary we have 28 dogs, 45 cats, 8 rabbits, 10 guinea pigs, 3 gerbils, 4 degus, 1 hamster, 12 large farm animals (goats, sheep and pigs), 20+ farm birds, 4 tortoises, 7 snakes, 8 lizards and 5 giant african land snails.
