Sophie's Smallies Boarding and Rescue Centre Small animal Boarding centre. Small animal Re-homing centre. Small animal Rescue Centre Welcome to Sophie's Smallies Boarding Centre. Thank you, Sophie

We are offering boarding all year round to most small animals. This is an exciting venture for me! I am now able to take in rabbits, guineas and small animals for boarding. This is available for both day holidays and longer stays. I am available all year round and all days of the week, so whatever holidays you have planned, then I'm the boarding centre for you! I have been a small animal owner for

over 20 years now and I am very confident with the care and handling them. If you would like more information on this or would like a price list. Then please drop me a message on here or give me a call.

Hello everyone!
Bit of a selfish plug here - we are going to ATTEMPT the world of content creation on the farm. We will be doing some lambing live, sharing content and educational bits. If it is of any interest to you (I know a few of you love your farm visits 😂) please pop us a like and share with friends too 💞

Wishing all my wonderful followers a very Merry Christmas 🎄💞

Hello everyone 👋❤️

For anyone who has boarded with me for the last year will know I've had ongoing spinal problems. Well yesterday I finally went in for my surgery to fix it!
I am understandably sore, but recovering ❤️‍🩹. I'm not able to take any more boarders in for the next few weeks. But I should be back up and running for the Easter holidays 💖

Hello!
With the kids back to school and life returning to normal once again, I would just like to pop on and say a huge thank you for everyone who has chosen to board with us this summer! 💞
It has been 6 weeks of mayhem, but we have survived! It has been so lovely meeting so many new smallies and equally lovely to see my regulars returning year on year! 🐰🐹🐭

If you are able to, and haven't already, please would you be able to leave me a brief review on my page. It will mean so much to me to help find even more boarders for next year! 🌟

We have the opportunity to expand our boarding facilities in the next year or so, so keep your eyes peeled for our next post with a road map of our new adventure to come... 👀👀

Once again, thank you to all of you for recommending me, using the boarding and supporting me. You are all amazing! 🙏🏻🥰

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

I have received several reports of sudden rabbit deaths in our area which led me to suspect that RVHD was becoming rife. After speaking to local vets they have received lots of similar phone calls and have now confirmed that RVHD is on the increase.

Owners are urged to have their rabbits vaccinated as soon as possible and to ensure all those who are vaccinated are up to date.

Sadly RVHD is fatal in most cases and as of yet there is no cure. Vaccinating is the only way to prevent this awful disease. Usually a rabbit will pass away with little to no symptoms within 2 days of being infected. The infection is spread extremely quickly.
Should you have 1 bun pass and have others then it is recommended to remove them from the housing and keep them totally isolated from possible sources. RVHD can live on housing, bedding, f***l and food matter for several months.

I would strongly urge that anyone planning on boarding with us is vaccinated. I would appreciate it if all vaccination cards are sent to me via a photo including the rabbits details and when they were vaccinated.

I have attached a link below for more information about the disease and information regarding vaccinations.

Many thanks, Sophie

There are two strands of RVHD and both are lethal to rabbits - Click here now to learn how to protect your rabbits.

He's had a crap start to life to put it bluntly and he just needs a nice settled home where he is loved and spoilt 💓

From an aggressive and defensive solo female to a calm and collected bonded bunny 💓

Kyo (ginger), now named fudge, was surrendered due to a failed bond and she was biting her owners. After a few months with us, we realised she just wasn't settling and her behaviour was getting worse.

Along came one of our amazing supporters who have taken her in warts and all... And look at these results. She's now living alongside 2 other buns and is happy and thriving!

Sometimes behaviour can be triggered by the smallest of things, in this case she seemed to be lonely and lacking a connection with other buns. But now she gets to live out her best life 🫶
