Thundry Farm Livery and Training Centre can offer you and your horse great facilities, exceptional care and a pleasant, friendly environment whether you jump 70cm, 1.30m or hack.Our aim is to provide a complete service where you do not have to worry about the well being of your horse. The care of the horses is based on the same formula that we have used, for over 30 years, for the production of ou

r own competition horses. Christine Shubrook is our resident coach and is available to external & internal riders. She has undertaken training in different areas of coaching. �Showjumping- BS Accredited UKCC Level III Coach. Part of the National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence. �Mindset - NLP Practitioner for Sport. Centre10 Advanced APEC Coach. �Body & Position- Testt® In addition to 1-2-1 coaching we also offer one day and multi day workshops and camps. If you want a boost to your riding or the chance to dedicate some focused time to you and your horse, we can create a bespoke staycation package. Thundry Farm is based in Elstead in the Surrey Hills, just off the A3, 10 minutes from Guildford, 45 minutes from London. 🦠 Equine Influenza Update for those attending the Cricklands May Summer Show 🦠

As a precaution following the recent reports of Equine Influenza cases, we will be implementing the following protocols with immediate effect:

✅ Passport checks will be carried out during the event to ensure horses/ponies meet the correct vaccination requirements.
✅ It is now mandatory for all competitors to bring their horse’s passport with them. Please remember this is also a legal requirement when transporting any equine.

As you are aware, The David Broome Event Centre operates under British Showjumping rules and policies. Therefore, all horses attending must have up-to-date vaccinations in order to compete.

British Showjumping also released a further update this morning regarding the increasing number of Equine Influenza outbreaks across the UK, which also contains good safety measures to follow:

In addition, Equine Bio Genie attended the venue yesterday and carried out a full disinfectant treatment across each and every stable, as they do for every show here at The David Broome Event Centre, as part of our ongoing biosecurity measures.

⚠️ Important Reminders:
• Horses vaccinated within the last 7 days are NOT permitted to compete. Horses must not attend any event venue within 7 days of vaccination.
• On arrival, passports should be open at the vaccination pages ready for inspection.
• Any competitor who cannot present their horse’s passport, or whose horse does not have up-to-date vaccinations, will be asked to leave the venue immediately.
• If you are travelling with multiple horses, please ensure that all horses on board fully comply with vaccination requirements. If any horse does not meet the requirements or a valid passport cannot be presented, that horse will not be permitted to unload and the vehicle will be required to leave the showground immediately.

If you are aware of anyone planning to attend events without up-to-date vaccinations, please feel free to make us aware so this can be handled appropriately.

We have a 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘 coming up in June.
This could be for a long term team, but also we can offer a short term space. This would be useful for:
🐴 A horse on a back to work programme that needs more daily management than normal. Like small paddock turn out, walking 4 times a day, icing frequently, a managed progressive work programme.
🐴 Someone with a new horse who needs more support initially.
🐴 Someone who wants a holistic regular training support to get through a 'block'.
🐴 Someone who has extra work commitments, meaning they can't be as 'hands on' with their horse.
🐴 A horse needing box rest.

It occurred to me that whilst people may not be able to commit to the cost of Full Livery in the long term they need some help in the short term. Recently we have helped a few people with a new horse, both in handling and ridden work, to cement their partnership. Having a small number of horses means we can really work at a detail level.
