You may be aware of the issues with Royal Mail postal service recently.
We have had to make a change by sending your test kits using a tracked delivery service because so many have been lost in the post and have taken its toll on our small business.
We know owning horses is an expensive hobby, and try to keep our prices as low as possible. We are introducing a nominal flat fee of £3.49 for 48-hour tracked postage for any number of kits.
This will be added shortly. We thank you once again for your understanding and support.
You can order your kits from here:

Thanks again for your continued support!
Warmest regards,
The VET-LAB Team!

The importance of doing regular worm counts.. Here is a recent message from one of our regular customers:

I just wanted to say thank you. I've used you for most of this year, I sent in 4 samples this week, 2 came back low, 2 high. Which shows how important testing is. Your results for the 2 were Strongyles, and lo and behold, after worming yesterday, this is what was in the poo:

Worming advice has changed. Good worm control practice starts with using faecal worm counts and tests, only administering a wormer if necessary.

Resistance to wormers
Horse worms are evolving to become resistant to some worming drugs, especially those that have been around for a long time. This means we can no longer rely on keeping horses worm-free purely by giving them wormers.

It’s much better to test first and target the wormers at the infected horses and specific seasonal problems like encysted redworms, bots and pinworm. Using wormers sparingly should also mean that they stay effective for those times when our horses really need them.

Using faecal worm counts and tests
Whether you have a single horse kept on an individual turnout or run a livery yard with mixed turnout a targeted regime can work for you. Redworm, Roundworm & Tapeworm are the biggest pathological threats to horses and the parasites for which you should test regularly.
