Very sad news... last week we had to say a very upsetting goodbye to Wilson. We have known this beautiful bouncing boy for most of his life and been walking him for almost 10 years. During that time he's made more doggie friends than we can count, many of which he outlived. There was never any dog that we introduced him to, that he didn't become instant friends with. He also never lost his zest for life or puppy-like enthusiasm for just about everything. He was as obsessed with other dogs at age 12 as he was at age 3. And games. And treats. And being fussed over. And water. He could very well have written the book on bonkers chocolate Labradors. And that was what made him such a wonderful, charming dog. And ageless. Even weeks before he sadly passed, people he met still couldn't believe he was approaching 13 years old (mainly due to his boundless enthusiasm), but because he barely showed his age, even in his appearance. When he came flying at us like a big, brown, furry cannonball, we had trouble believing his age too! As much as he will be missed, he will most certainly never be forgotten. Goodbye you big, daft wonderful fool. 🌈🐶
