Jo has a passion for puppies, recall, tricks and scent detection. She describes her training methods as fun, motivational and practical. Jo has a rescue Golden Retriever x Labrador, Maggie who lives for scentwork and rolling around in long grass. Maggie’s recall (and her zoomies) are greatly admired by all! With Maggie’s help in training, Jo is a qualified World Scent Dog Association Instructor and Level 1 Scent Detection Competition Judge. Jo is also currently training Maggie in formal competitive heelwork. Jo has certified qualifications from Sarah Whitehead’s Clever Dog Company and The School of Canine Science, as well as being an official Puppy Lab Instructor, Real Dog Yoga Instructor, Superdogs Assistance Dog Instructor and a Trick Training Instructor. Jo has a rich background ranging from rescue centre work, vet procedural training and assistance dog training. Seeing and helping puppies grow up to be exceptional dogs and lifelong pals is something she says “is an absolute privilege to be part of.” Jo’s ultimate passion is to help you develop the rewarding, enjoyable and stress-free relationship you dream of with your dog. ~ 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝑷𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒔? ~

Just like the flower, puppies are beautiful, soulful and joyful, but if left to their own devices, they'll get themselves in a right old state 🤦‍♀️

We're building a village for Skye. We've found the most amazing dog walker for her who is helping with her puppy training, the family are all on board and I'm here to help train them through 💪Skye is starting to bloom 🤎

~ 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚, 𝑰𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝑭𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 ~

Meet Mabel. I am in love 🤎

As coincidence has it, I already know Mabel. She meets me and Maggie at the fence on a particular walk we do and I couldn't believe I was at this house when I turned up for the first time today! Her and her sister Maude say hi to Mag and they dance along the fence line all together until we move on. A couple of weeks ago, we noticed that both the girls weren't there to say hi. We waited, but no show.

Incredibly sadly, Maude passed away just a few weeks ago and Mabel hasn't been the same since. She hasn't even visited the fence once where her and Maude would go daily to say hi to everyone. That's why they never showed 😢 To say that Mabel isn't the same dog as I've seen her to be is an understatement. You can see the loss in her eyes.

So alongside the training we are going to do, looking at all of her foundations; recall and lead walking and such, our mission is now also to help Mabel through. Apparently she hasn't been so enthusiastic or happy as you can see in her pics after we trained her in weeks. I think training is going to be her lifeline. We're going to get you back to that fence beautiful girl. One day, it won't feel like this 🤎

~ 𝑰𝒇 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒔 𝑨 𝑫𝒐𝒈 𝑾𝒉𝒐... ~
.. looked like a politician from the olden days, it's Ted 🤣 He's giving serious eyebrow vibes currently 😘

Grooming socialisation and training coming right up Teddy boy, time to get those eyes seeing again 🧐 It's one thing I see often in poodle type dogs, their hair is a pain in the back side around their eyes and often you'll need to be keeping it short for them yourself outside of their professional grooming sessions as not being able to see clearly can really, really impact a dog! I know, I know, that hair grows so annoyingly quickly and it can be nerve racking trimming it yourself. Hopefully you have an amazing groomer or trainer who will show you how 💪

Fortunately, Teddy cracks on with life just as he cracks on with his puppy training foundations; full of gusto and puppy vivre. He's turning out to be quite the drama queen you know; we don't just do a sit, we do a sit in a way that wouldn't look out of place in a Christmas panto. Exaggeration and high drama spring to mind 🤣🥰 Hey Ted, we don't care. As long as you're doing you and having fun with it, the stage is all yours handsome 👌🤎

~ 𝑨𝒎𝒂𝒛𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌 ~

Check out the teefs! It's the face she pulls when she's loving learning and concentrating really hard and all you can see is this teefy grin looking back at you 🥰🤣

Wow, Poppy has graduated from her puppy training foundations and to say she has come a long way since we first started is an understatement.

When I first met her, she was a wild child and fairly tricky to live with at times. But now...she's 'perfection' (as her team will say). She's a joy to walk, social, confident, BRILLIANTLY behaved with other dogs now, a joy at home and she's had her first holiday on the beach already which was so much fun for them all. It's exactly how I want it all to go for puppies and their families when I train with them. What a future they have in store now! 🥳

Congratulations team Poppy! I really am so proud of you all and it is everything to me to see how happy you all are together. It's been such a joy to train with you all! 🤎

~ 𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 ~

She just keeps growing! I don't know when she's going to stop! 🤣

Her brain is too, she's amazing at training and she's starting proper scentwork now as well 💪 But my word this girl is a clown. She makes us laugh so much with her antics and her absolute cheek. I've never known such a goof of a dog. I'd love to be in her head sometimes, I'm sure it's all custard pies and bicycle horns 🤣

Cracking work on her recall, emergency cues and her first steps of scentwork couldn't have looked any better. Way to go Penny! 🤎

~ 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒓 ~

Back before Christmas, Bingley completed his puppy training foundations online with me as he lives in a completely different County. Now he's making the long journey over here to continue his training in person with me and I can't tell you how GORGEOUS it was to finally meet him in person! 🥰

Just look at him!! 😍 He's a perfect diddy little package sitting all proud as punch because he's such a good boy. I'm so proud of him, all that puppy training is paying off, he's just delightful to be around. So now we're onto advanced exercises to really set all the good stuff in stone, so to speak 💪

Thank you for travelling to train with me Bingley! I knew I'd love you, I just didn't realise how much! Cannot wait for next time 🤎

~ 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒓 ~

The date for Elsie's first show in the 6 months and under category has come through for the not too distant future! If she wins, she'll be at Crufts next year! 🥰

We're not only focusing on all of her puppy training foundations, we're also training her for the ring using reward based training only 💪 She's doing brilliantly and she's already a winner in my eyes 🥰

Such a good girl is our Elsie with the most adorable nature ever. Love her! 🤎

~ 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑮𝒐 𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒚 ~

I genuinely feel like I've never met a happier dog in my life than Murphy. It's hard to describe how being around him makes you feel too. Everything feels amazing when he's there 🥰

And that's a glorious thing because, as a long-term goal being a therapy dog is on the cards for him 🤎

But first, working through his foundations and making sure everything is how it should be with his dog training basics is essential. He's a big teenage boy who loves the world after all 😉

Perfect progress so far Murphy! Can't wait for next time 🐾

Meet Teddy! 😍

He's come to learn all of his puppy training foundations and to ensure that socialisation, toilet training, preventing separation anxiety and dealing with puppy biting all go smoothly 💪

He has various nicknames already and I can't help but call him Teddy Ruxpin or Super Ted...which his mum pointed out is a sign of our age 😂

Teddy is tiny. Really tiny. And he grew up at the breeders with a Bernese Mountain dog. Talk about little n large! 🤣

All things on track so far and it looks like Teddy is going to love learning new things! 🥳

~ 𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝑫𝒐 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑨𝒓𝒆? ~

I'm working with two of her sisters, I've met her mum and another sister and Audrey is looking less like any of them by the day. We think she must be the milkmans 🤣

Tell you what though, she is absolutely brilliant to train and she's is flying through her advanced puppy training skills 💪 She's like an absolute rocket when it comes to recall now 🚀
