HOME-TO-HOME APPEAL - Meet Arlo!

Arlo is a 4 year old, male Horsfield's tortoise (hatched in August) looking for a wonderful new home! He has had a clean bill of health and he's very active and will want a substantial amount of space for his size, as well as a lot of attention! He loves being outdoors and digging, and would ideally go somewhere with both an indoor and outdoor enclosure for him to thrive in! He can be a little shy at first, however once he gets used to you, he'll really come out of his shell! His favourite foods are little gem lettuce, pak choi, rocket and kale! He can be a little bit fussy with his foods and doesn't tend to want to try new things, if he doesn't like it, he simply won't eat it!

Arlo will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and evidence of an appropriate set up will be required before Arlo is allowed to be rehomed.

HOME-TO-HOME APPEAL - Meet Esio!

Esio is a 7 year old, male leopard tortoise looking for a wonderful new home! He has had a clean bill of health and he's very active and loves to interact with his current owners and his environment in general! He loves climbing and exploring new places and loves finding new corners to hide and fall fast asleep in, in fact he's described as being a great a hide and seek player and can always find a new place to hide! His favourite foods are cucumbers and cavolo nero kale.

Esio will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and evidence of an appropriate set up will be required before Esio is allowed to be rehomed.

HOME-TO-HOME APPEAL - Meet Denis!

Denis is a 23-25 year old, male Horsfield's tortoise looking for an amazing new home! He has had a clean bill of health! He's healthy, lively and quite a personality! He currently lives outside from May-September and is moved inside for the colder months of the year! He usually hibernates from December to March! The dates for his hibernation vary as it depends on when he starts to wind down for the winter! He is currently still in hibernation, but will is looking for a new home to wake up to!

Denis will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and evidence of an appropriate set up will be required before Denis is allowed to be rehomed.

Sherman is an around 20 year old, male Hermann's tortoise looking for a brilliant new home! He has had no medical conditions, bar a slight wheeze which was cleared up by antibiotics a few years ago! He's quite a curious and friendly tortoise, who loves to sun himself and dig in his outdoor enclosure!

Sherman will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and evidence of an appropriate set up will be required before Shermen is allowed to be rehomed.

HOME-TO-HOME APPEAL - Meet Albert!

Albert is a 10 year old, male marginated tortoise looking for a wonderful new home! He has had a clean bill of health and he's very sweet and friendly. He's has never nipped, other than the odd toe out of curiosity! He's very inquisitive and a good eater! He has been around other animals (supervised) and was very curious and confident. He enjoys chin rubs, so his new owner will need to make sure he's given plenty!

Albert will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and evidence of an appropriate set up will be required before Albert is allowed to be rehomed.

HOME-TO-HOME APPEAL - Meet Shelly!

Shelly is a roughly 6 year old, potentially female red-footed tortoise looking for a wonderful new home! She has had a clean bill of health and is very friendly especially liking her head scratches! She loves her food and fruit especially and is very content to just hang out and wander in her vivarium but does love to climb on anything that she can find! She loves a nice warm bath and doesn't mind being picked up as long as she is fully supported!

Shelly will need an appropriate set up before being rehomed, and is eventually going to be looking for a 6x4foot vivarium to live in!

One of the million reasons sulcatas don't make good pets 🤣

Sulcatas naturally dig burrows, to escape from both the heat and cold! Often expanding on the burrows of other animals - in this case rabbits.

When it's a 70+ kilo tortoise doing the digging, these burrows can be impressive, up to 40ft long and 15ft deep! It's lovely to see these animals exhibiting their natural behaviours!
