The 2023 LTC Show Report and Judge's Critique just went out via email. It mentions...
The Philip Astley-Jones Cup which is new to the Show, allowing us a sensational trophy cup for Reserve Best in Show. This photograph does not do it justice...it is stunning and was kindly donated by Johnnie Lloyd-Morgan in tribute to Philip, both long-time Lucas owners. The mid 19thC silver cup is now engraved for presentation and about to have a wooden plinth before going to the 2023 winner for RBIS.

Sunday 8th October was a fine day for Lucas Terriers. After two years of Covid cancelled Shows, the 30th Lucas Terrier Show was held and what fun it was to see old friends, puppies that are now grown, and be they town or country, working or couch potatoes, all the dogs were beautifully turned out. Not many pups in 2021 and 2022 and the Puppy List remains closed to non LTC Members but we hope to have a good run in 2023 with placements to those who are up for the challenge of ensuring that this fine yet vulnerable breed continues to endure.

Following the announcement earlier in the year of Rebecca Takeda-Frost's standing down as Secretary, the Club was supported by Kate Ruscombe-King in a temporary capacity.

As this arrangement has ended, the Club is looking for a good organiser who is able to arrange meetings, take minutes and manage the Club email inbox. The role is on a voluntary basis for a minimum term of 24 months.

How to apply: Please send expressions of interest to [email protected] by Sunday 14th November. The Club Committee will hold interviews at an agreed date shortly afterwards.

The 30th annual Lucas Terrier Club show is being held on Sunday 10th October. Members will have received their invitation by email and via the Summer newsletter. We look forward to seeing as many of you present following last year's cancellation.

Your entry fee covers:
- your chosen class entry
- Lunch and refreshments
- Photograph of your Lucas

The closing date for entries is Sunday 19th September 5pm.
