Willows Animal Sanctuary & Animal Assisted Therapy Unit Willows is the largest equine, farm and domestic animal sanctuary in Scotland where we care for over 500 animals and birds.

We also offer animal - assisted therapy to vulnerable people. Willows animal sanctuary has been a registered charity since 1999.

We are absolutely devastated to hear about the sudden passing of Steve at the Vegan Bay Baker. He and his team supplied Willows coffee shop with the most amazing cakes and butteries and he was always so cheerful and lovely when he was making deliveries. They made lots of kind donations over the years and their support was much appreciated ❤️
Our thoughts are with his family at this awful time. 💔

Very recently, John, a very dear supporter/helper died very suddenly and it’s been a terrible shock to all who knew him....

Very recently, John, a very dear supporter/helper died very suddenly and it’s been a terrible shock to all who knew him. Over the years, John (with his wife Julie ) had helped foster animals, provided transportation for animals in need of rescue and helped mend things around the sanctuary and sometimes even helped wash up in the coffee shop when we were really busy! He was always full of life, terrifically practical and always ready to make a terrible joke! The world is definitely a bit smaller now he’s not in it.
RIP John. We know that you’ll be missed by many ❤️

Visit Willows and support our good work while having a great day out!
We are open on Saturdays, 10.30am till 4pm and there’s so much to see and do! Apart from getting to see hundreds of animals in their happy homes, there’s the Cat Hotel, the nature walk, the donkey barn, the mindfulness area, beastie house, education room, charity shop, the vegan coffee shop serving sandwiches, stovies, soup and cake, our gift shop selling lots of ethical and fair trade items, hundreds of second hand books for sale, a selection of vegan food and cheese available in our shop and of course, lots of cats waiting to greet you as you arrive!
We’re open each Saturday, 10.30am till 4pm
